Anyway - we’re up. We’re champions, that’s the main thing

Enjoyed that, the away crowd were brilliant and of course the record title confirmed. Now let’s get 100 points.

Congratulations Leicester, fully deserved and good luck next season.

It's irritating in the stands, there's a bloke in front of me waving a blow up trophy, can't see past it when he's doing that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it Rudkin
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just seen him and therefore possibly you
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, like the Glasses
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't believe Rudders would risk coming in amongst us in the away end
Brilliant celebrations at the end - best part of half an hour after the whistle. Abdul can seriously dance!

Unlikely for various reasons due to FFP - we may struggle to buy appropriate players and may well need to offload some saleable assets before the end of June- such as KDH.
Abdul's performance against Southampton was terrific and put us in position to win the league last night, but he has also announced himself to the wider football world as a marvellous prospect so I wouldn't be surprised to see someone try and poach him - hopefully we have an iron clad agreement to get him to sign for us permanently now we're promoted.
We'll see how we get on over the Summer, we can but hope for the best but the outlook for next season with a potential points deduction is not good; the EPL and EFL - if they can - will be coming in all guns blazing in an attempt to nail us.

Yeah agree with Nuneaton. It’s really why Top and Rudkin have potentially cost this club its short term future. Fatawu will join because he has an obligation to but relegation next season would really spell the start of the end for Leicester - and it’s almost certain to happen
That’s a very dim view at a time we should be celebrating but it’s really why I can’t. These pair have absolutely screwed us and it will take years to get back to where we were, I fear next season is really the final hurrah

Oddly enough the Southampton game has given me a glimmer of hope. Not much, but just a wee shard of light glinting there amongst the FFP murkiness.
Why? Because the team showed they can be very effective when forced to play a counter attacking game. This isn't what Enzo wants at all, but with the better standard of players at the higher level it may be the way we end up playing more often than not, giving us at least a chance of getting some points despite the manager's insistence on playing pedestrian tippy-tappy possession at all costs football which is readily nullified at Championship, let alone Premier League, level.
Why only a glimmer? Because by the end of the summer the squad might even look weaker than it does now. Rudkin is still in place. We may have a points deduction. I'm going to stop thinking now about reasons to be miserable for the future when we should enjoy being champions - one positive is we have avoided being in the EFL next season which would have been disastrous.

Yeah absolutely - failing to get promotion would have accelerated the decline and we’d be back to the Craig Levein days within a season or two!
