Injuries

So we only have 10 senior players for tonight’s match v spurs, 11 if you include gilchrist.

Why is this not being covered more in the media? Soon to overtake Newcastle for most days missed due to injury of any club in the pl.
last year we were top with Man Utd. Year before that top with Liverpool.

Is it a curse?

Skybet have us as favourites for tonight which is madness considering the injuries. Our injured 11 is better than our fit 11 .

Surely there has to be an investigation into this now? We have players who get injured during international break…who aren’t on international duty?!

The media are the problem. Pep and Klopp have spoken out about the number of matches, which in my opinion has seen an unprecedented level of injuries across the league this season - but they're just dismissed as whiners because it goes against the media agenda of selling the PL as a product.

And then rival fans lap it up - but then they cry about their own club's injuries.

Is that the real reason though? Chelsea are playing less matches the last two years than probably any other year over the last 2 decades as we are out of europe.

Nick I find it bizarre how little coverage the media give this. They're always more than happy to talk about the billion spend but rarely if ever talk about our neverending injury crisis.

What's even weirder is that a lot of these injuries aren't even happening during games. There's something really wrong here but it almost seems taboo to talk about it for some strange reason.

It’s because you’ve spent over £1b on players over the last 4 windows and have a massive squad. The fact you are struggling with all those injuries after the money spent is a Chelsea problem, nobody is going to have sympathy for you and why should they? As has already been pointed out, it’s not as if the injuries are a result of a hectic fixture schedule.

Not looking for any sympathy. Just an acknowledgement that it's happening as the media barely if ever cover or talk about it. It is news after all although if you weren't a Chelsea fan you probably wouldn't even know it was happening.

What’s the point in spending money if it can’t be on the pitch.
Also shown your ignorance in the “massive squad” comment. Our squad is 30. Full of youth players too.
No different to most other teams.
We’re not looking for sympathy but some objectivity would be nice.
