Fantastic Irish Cup Final victory!

Poor showing from Linfield who resorted to hopeless shots from distance in extra time.

Referee killing the momentum of the game everytime a Cliftonville player went down faking cramp didn't help but as you say, the better team on the day won.

A friend of mine was part of the coaching team who were offered the Cliftonville job at the start of the season and they turned it down as they didn't like the direction the owners wanted to go in. They ended up at Ballymena who narrowly avoid relegation yesterday. Seems like a poor move in hindsight.

Those first 20-30 minutes the referee couldn’t wait to give a free kick for Linfield. The second half he rightly booked 3 or 4 Linfield players for hacking down Cliftonville players on the break.

Better team won on the day so suck it up Buttercup.

Faking cramp during extra time? Ok. Elite athletes and elite footballers suffer from cramp. Irish league players are neither. I think it’s fairly obvious they weren’t faking after putting such a shift in.

Nothing simple about that but it’s obvious you’re still hurting. Cheer up, it’s a Bank Holiday weekend.
