Tuesday night football and it's Barnsley again. The 9th and final match between the 2 clubs over the last 2 seasons. At stake a place in the play off final on 18th May which is a 4.15 kick off. Bolton weathered a late storm at oakwell and with a late Williams swinger which made it 3-1 carry a 2 goal lead into tonight's fixture. Bolton unbeaten at home in the league in 2024 have to be confident enough to go for a win tonight and get the job done. Over 22000 at the toughsheet and expecting a great atmosphere. Team news. No new injuries reported and just without Mendes Gomes, Böðvarsson and Johnston who is fit but being held back until next season. Likely starting 11. Baxter. Jones Santos Toal. Dacres-cogley Maghoma Sheehan Thomason Williams. Charles Collins. Kick off is 8pm. No away goals now so if Barnsley win 2-0 then it goes to extra time and then possibly the dreaded penalty shootout. Let's hope not. Coywm.

regardingthe regulator, from what was said in the inquiry, it would seem that the point that the regulator would not, as it stands, be able to instruct (force the premier league to either stop the parachute payments or pay the right amount of cash to the lower leagues in the pyramid) is a real block for the regulator being able to do his/her job that would really make a difference. That is one point that needs addressing if anything meaningful is going to change..

The Ben must be saving themselves, hoping to catch and sell fans a bumper edition as they leave for London.
It's been a poor show from the local rag this week.

Mark Iles has been too busy putting the special edition together, he also has the special edition of the Buff to produce for tomorrow.

IE's got a lot to choose from for his starting 11.
Too much choice can be a good and bad thing. We best order a truck for the bingo machine.

Is today the day the tingling of nerves starts?

I 'm quite relaxed at the moment. Ihave just listened to the Buff podcast and read the latest offering from Marc Iles.
I had to smile when he was talking about some of the celebs who support Bolton. Apparently, the Vixen, from, The Chase, misses a lot of the Bolton Goals as she is usually in the ladies rest room taking a wee. I think that she should take 2, two Lt of water in to the stadium to drink during the game. That should give her plenty of chances to miss our goals.
I have posted a few times that John McGinlay should be taken on as a coach for our forwards. I just read an article regarding Dion haveing help from John, here is what he said.
“I speak to him every week,” he said. “I ask him his thoughts, he was a striker, and it gives you that extra opinion on things you can change on your game. He gives me little tips and he’s brilliant around the place, I make sure I see him regularly.
“I say to him ‘I’m coming for your record’ and he’ll say: ‘You’ll never get there!’ “We have a bit of banter together, but John has been great since I have been here.”
I just wish he would tell him to keep his head down sometimes before he strikes the ball, he might score some of them he misses.
No predictions from me regarding the score tomorrow, but I'm going for a win. Your thoughts please.

I'm saving myself for tomorrow.
I could do with opening a bottle, which fork in the road will we take?

Don't think I will sleep much tonight. Will get the match thread done when I get home.

This time tomorrow we will either be heading for the Championship or moaning about the way we played. Let's hope that it's the former.
