Adam Vs Meireles

Who is better?

Some Liverpool fans would rather have Adam because he played better for Blackpool. So I've decided to get the views of a wider audience.

Please give an opinion, and a reason why you've chosen Meireles.

I'm not going to tell Chelsea fans how they play but don't you play 3 in the middle, and then two either side of a striker in a 4-3-3 formation. And doesn't Ramires or Mikel usually play the middle of the 3 in midfield allowing the other two to drift wide and forward when needed. If that is the case, and I believe it is, then Meireles hasn't played as an out and out CM for you, he's played on the right of a midfield 3 in a 4-3-3 formation.

And the point is, that Don Mata believes that Meireles was pushed down the pecking order in our team because of Adam, when they don't actually even play in the same position, and he hasn't played in that position for you yet. We play a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 with Adam and Lucas as the two CMs. Meireles very rarely played in CM for us so Adam didn't push him down the pecking order.

Meireles has played as a deep midfielder more than he's played a centre midfielder in a 4-3-3

He has played centrally in a 3 with Ramires and Lamps.

BK, the deep midfielder in a 3 is also the central midfielder in a 3.

'Meireles was looking at being a second maybe third choice this season'
From one of the Pool fans, yes i exagerrated that statement a bit but it implies the same thing, he wouldn't have started according to some of the fans because he's slipped down the pecking order and wasn't first choice for the team

This Saturday will mark the anniversary of Fenway Sports Group's takeover of Liverpool and it comes just a few days after UK magazine FourFourTwo published its annual Football Rich List. The magazine ranked FSG owner John W Henry at 20th in the list, and calculated that each Premier League point Liverpool had earned since the purchase has cost Henry a whopping £7.5 million ($11.7M). (The team it beat last week, local rivals Everton, comes in at £48,000 per point, given that owner Bill Kenwright paid £20M for it in 2004.)

I bought a new car a month ago that cost me just short of £14,000.

If you call it about 4 weeks then that's £3.5G a week, or to put it another way about £500 a day.

This is quite depressing and going by the childish way of thinking of this article then you would say that my car is a very bad buy indeed.

But if you start thinking like an adult and factor in that I will probably own the car for about 10 years, and that it will end up as approximately £3.85 a day suddenly you realise it's true value.

Of course my car will never go up in value (at least not until I become rich and famous) whereas some of our recent signings will and already have.
