Ten Hag out, Antonio Conte IN

Amidst all the names being mentioned, I am surprised that the former League winner with Chelsea, Conte is not being mentioned. But before making a case for Conte, I want to state my reasons as to why IT IS TIME TO GO when it comes to Eric Ten Hag.

Firstly, we are all aware that this club, this team, this institution, like the scenes we witnessed just yesterday with the roof leaking is on its knees. To nick a phrase from Neville and being a property man myself, there is Japanese knotweed wrecking havoc at the foundations of this once great club and if not dealt with in the next 3 years, I genuinely don't see a way back for us anytime soon.

In stating all all this, a manager is judged on the results they deliver. To state we have underperformed this season is an understatement.... see below what Erik Ten Hag and the team he manages have delivered:

1) Won one game in champions league and finished bottom in a group with Copenhagen
2) We conceded 15 goals in 6 outings- only Royal Antwerp had a worse defensive record
3) We are on course to finish 8th, which will be our worst since the start of the premier league.
4) There is a high chance Manchester United are about to finish the season with a - goal difference. (Absolute criminal)
5) this is United's most league defeats since 1989/90.
6) Across all competitions, United's 18 defeats is the most since 1977/78 (19).

I can accept that the Japanese Knotweed running through this club makes it hard for any manager/ or even players to reach their maximum performance, however the above, which is just a snippet by the way warrants the sack, there is no way to marinade it. I hope he is given his marching orders sooner rather than later.

Now onto Conte, I am somewhat surprised his name has not been brought up when discussing potential managers to replace the fraud that is ETH; Conte in my opinion is still an elite manager and should not be judged for his failure at Tottenham. He is exactly the sort of manager we need right now to deal with some of these prima donnas and get some discipline within this squad.

A good choice to get performances from a mediocre squad.

Also we can't press without players getting injured, so he's style might suit us better for now.

You’ll get a new manager, sign some old, overpriced, and overpaid players that will do well in their first season, finish 3rd with no Europe and be back here in two years time saying exactly the same thing.

This is not happening under Ineos. They were not my first choice but no way this is happening.

Based on what?!

They have bloody stopped perks worth circa 1 million to regular office going staff ( not a decision I support btw). The idea they are going to be throwing millions Willy nilly not happening

I had a moment of weakness before Christmas where I wanted Conte to come in and wreak havoc.

But, honestly, I think it would be a bad move. We'd probably get all of the bad and none of the good. And if he came in over summer I don't even think we'd get the joy of a new manager bounce.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is a better choice compared to Zidane, Southgate and Tuchel in my opinion. In a perfect world, I want Ancelotti for two seasons to work with Ineos but that ain't happening.

Aren't you guys ever tired of these names? There's a reason they are available

So you’ve taken an example of bad decision making to show they won’t be bad decision makers?

I said I did not support it. That in itself does not make it a bad decision. Who am I tell the richest man in England that him cutting circa 1m in perks is a “bad decision”

It’s a bad short sighted decision cutting perks from the staff that need it and not slashing player pay. You then end up losing those staff to other companies that will pay more and hire inferior staff.

Ineos sound worse by the day.
