ON THIS DAY IN 1981

Tottenham Hotspot won the 100th FA Cup Final beating Man City. The game is best remembered for Ricky Villa’s superb goal when he danced through the defence to score.

Qualifying for the champions league is nowhere near enough reward for the decades of banter we will receive if we hand arsenal the title. I lived with an arsenal fan when they won it at whl and I’m scarred for life. I cannot understand anyone that wants us to hand them the title. Ange doesn’t understand it. He can’t compare it to Celtic/rangers. Both those clubs have won lots in recent memory. We have sat here and watched those mutha f ah kers mop up trophies whilst we have just raised ticket prices. I have listened to years and years of taunts from them about their trophy hall and our lack of one.

I can only assume if you want us to win tonight, you aren’t surrounded by gooners.

Also, if they fail to win it again this year, after everything they’ve put into it this season, it will HURT them. They will have to recover next season. Who says they will?

Nothing will change my mind. The champions league is just a media hyped money train for companies like Enic, it counts for nothing against CENTURIES of rivalry.

Blue moon.

Why do you think teams want to get into the Premier League from the Championship? Promoted clubs routinely get torn apart week after week but it doesn't stop them celebrating the achievement in getting there. Sure, we have no chance of winning the CL but taking part in and of itself is dining at the top table. The more you qualify, the bigger you become, both financially in terms of recruitment, and professionally in terms of standards.

All the time CL is on the table we should always be looking to qualify, regardless of the consequences of other sides. Arsenal have been the best side in the league this year, there's absolutely no question of that so who gives a flying feck if they win the league or not. They're still probably the best side either way. We've got a lot of catching up to do and frankly I'd rather focus on that than getting joy from others' failure.

I get that Europa is more achievable but imagine you're a fan of a lower league side and someone says to them "you can either get promoted each season finishing second every time or you can have the Autoglass Windscreen Trophy". What do you think they're going to do? They would go for promotion every single time. Whether we like it or not, the CL is the premium tournament and those taking part are the very best. If we want to become the best, we have to keep qualifying for it. So the idea of throwing tonight's game when CL is still a real possibility in order to stop Arsenal is frankly baffling. It's actively trying to hamper progress. I honestly can't get my head around it.

That said, a draw doesn't help anyone. If we don't win, we have to lose it.

Can't be a real supporter if you want your team to loose, absolutely rubbish all this hype
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can see both sides, so just gonna let everyone have their own emotions today!

It’s not even something that’s in our control, so what will be will be! There’s a LOT of hype on this game now though!

One thing I can tell you, if arsenal win the league, the pressure will be even higher on Ange next year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For sure.

You wont be handing Arsenal the title if you win or draw. There will still be 1 game to go on Sunday and anything could happen

Yeah. I’m sure the arsenal fans will see it the same way.
