Last night Cooper came on for end of match.
It wasn't just to give someone a rest.
It was to ensure he was on pitch for what is most likely his last match at Elland Road to soak it up and say goodbye to the fans.
What a great move by Farke, reminiscent of Pablo and Berardi.
Over 10 years, Cooper has proven to be a value for money player.
I'm not going to lie, he has an error in him, but he's a leader.
Christiansen was slated for being weak and letting the players choose their captain, but as I said at the time it's actually strong leadership and the players chose Cooper and he's been Captain ever since.
I don't know the stats but he must be up there as one of our longest serving Captains.
He has endured the madcapest of owners and the extreme of managers from Hockaday to Bielsa.
Under Bielsa he played for Scotland, captained us to champions and superb season in Prem, I really hope he goes out on a high for us in 10 days time.
He is the last of our real playing links to the dark days of Cellino and no end in sight to our purgatory.
Him, Dallas, Ayling, in particular long serving mediocre players who were elevated under Bielsa and whose loyalty and efforts finally yielded the rewards of promotion to the Prem.
Cooper is not a great like Bremner, he's not a household name like Strachan, but he's one of our best Captains, he's led by example and is a credit to himself and our club.
Once this season is done, he deserves a testimonial and it should be a Newell's Old Boys, home and away.
Thank you Liam Cooper!

Totally agree with your comments.
Makes my blood boil the online abuse that he has received by people who totally ignore how much he has contributed to the club.

Love Coops. And yes, it was a great move by Farke.
Cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake.

Another one who lots refused to change their initial opinion on. He was brilliant under Bielsa and underrated how good his passing out from back is for a centreback. Even up till last season we always looked better with him in the team and suffered with his injuries.
