Ange Postecoglou has said that Tuesday night was the worst experience he's ever had as a football manager, because once he realised he'd got it wrong and fans were actually rooting for Manchester City he had a real anxiety that if #Spurs took a hiding his integrity would have been questioned.
Ange Postecoglou on fans preferring Manchester City to win, despite his insistence that wouldn’t be the case:
"I hold my hand up, I got it wrong. I was here the day before the game and I sort of mocked the whole thing..."
“There's a misconception about me that I've got one plan. I've probably used every formation and system going over the years, usually many in a game."
On the internal issues
"No, the inside issues haven't been resolved in two days"
Ange Postecoglou on whether what’s happened this week has made him more determined to turn #Tottenham into ‘winners’:
“No mate, I’ve been determined to do that from day one, nothing’s changed. I haven’t been deterred, if that’s what people are worried about."
My manager.
Update
🚨| Ange Postecoglou says that the supporter shouted abusive terms at him after the team conceded the first goal, and that was what upset him and provoked his reaction.
Postecoglou says it’s one thing when it happens in the away dugout because you almost come to expect that you’ll get stick from the opposing supporters, but was disappointed to hear it from a supporter at a home game.

Some of you get Ange but I'm surprised many still don't. He is a fundamentalist delivering consistent messages keeping it simple for the players. Zero chinks in the armour, zero room for manoeuvre, zero doubt in the players minds. Hence why I said a few weeks ago anyone not fully committed will go even if they are first picks.
It is why he so refreshing to the media - no BS, no double talk, no beating about the bush, blunt, forthright and all in. He demands it of everyone else and doesn't want or understand why it would be any different. Surprised anyone is now surprised.
He also challenges conventional thinking as you've seen at his press conferences. Won't suffer fools. It is prime time entertainment.
Please send him back he still thinks we're unbelievable.
BTW re Pawlbarron as a tic fan I do remember not being fussed about a result - last day of the season, title won and we contrived to lose 0-1 to Aberdeen who needed a win to pip Rangers to 2nd. Nobody cared and Rangers on their uppers were done out of an extra c.£1m prize money and whatever extra European play offs that meant. Just saying.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’ve obviously not being paying attention to our results, or his increasingly ludicrous press conferences.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm getting tired of people saying they 'get' Ange whereas others don't. We all understand who he is and what he's trying to do. Every single manager that goes into a job is a fundamentalist. Then they find there are reasons why they have to tweak things. Ange doesn't have a magic formula. Football is the same as it always has been. It's about good players and good players get you results. People really, really overestimate the effect a manager can have. When they win trophies they're lauded more than they should be, and when they're relegated they get torn apart more than they should be.
For all the purist intent, our form after November has been about 11th or 12th in the league. Now I'm fully behind Ange but I'm not going to ignore results forever. Neither should we. He should be judged by his performances on the touchline, not his dramatic performances in his press conferences.

Agree with what you say there fridge aside from this. There's definitely a narrative from a small group of fans calling Ange stubborn or arrogant for having a very clear and consistent style of play. They don't understand what he's trying to do or, more importantly, why.
It's why threads like this always get tons of comments and Celtic fans come to our board to tell us how good he is.
Like you say, end of the day it's a results game and as much as we like or dislike Ange, agree with him or not, he'll not he here for long if he doesn't win games. But for me it's a far more enjoyable ride than we've had in a long time. And that's the point isn't it?

Tell Sizzle he's still on filter.
I follow the results. I watch the games for the entertainment. The bad run at the end was bad but against Villa, resurgent Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle - a brutal sequence of opposition.
Big picture, back in europe, more revenue, better player, another window for him to exert his influence. He's already coached apparent useless diddies on their way out into solid starters - no credit?
He's right, unless everyone is 'all in' he's wasting his time and you won't know what you've had until he's gone.
As for press conferences - jeez they really win you games, eh?

The thing about all this rubbish with Arsenal is actually frustrating.
Arsenal were begging for us not to win the champions league cheering on liverpool.
Chelsea by their own admittance in the battle of the bridge wanted to stop us winning the league. had no fight but then found suddenly it against us

You’ve got to feel bad for Postecoglou, he’s got to deal with a fanbase that cares more about Arsenal’s results than Tottenham’s - that realisation must be a tough pill for him to swallow…🤷🏻♂️
