Just look at what happens when you give a player a chance!
He has as many goals as Antony this season in the premier league.
I was told here we don’t know what the manager is seeing in training. Absolute disgrace this bald fraud manager kept a talent like this out of the team for so long to accommodate players in diabolical form like Rashford and Antony. Amad would be on 10 goals and couple of assists if head given the chance this season, no doubt about it.

Amad certainly looks like he can handle the PL, which isn't surprising given how well he did with Sunderland.
Whether he'll be good enough to command a squad place or starting berth with United long term we don't yet know but he's got a promising combination of technical security, composure and apparent self-assurance and confidence that should give him a good chance.
I do like what I've seen though and at the moment I'm happier seeing his name on the team sheet than Antony's.

He is good enough for us now.

On the basis that he looks at least as good and PL-ready as Antony, yes - agreed.
But that wasn't my point. We also have to consider whether he'll be good enough longer term - that's what the club will be considering when they enter the market this summer. We've been strongly linked to Olise, which makes sense if Sancho and Greenwood will be leaving and if Antony is being recognised as not good enough. We may end up in a situation where Amad finds himself behind a new signing like Olise, or at least in rotation with them.
Unfortunately with only two games left of the season remaining, that doesn't leave too much time at all for Amad to impress enough to keep the club from making a move in that position. That said, Amad + Olise would be quite an exciting set of options from the right.

He’s much better than Antony, and he actually offers something a lot of our players lack, composure,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why did this fraud hold him back in your opinion?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why are you jumping on the bizarre buzzword bingo use of the term "fraud" to describe a manager? What fraud has he enacted? Winning trophies in Holland? Winning a trophy with us last season? Getting us to three cup finals?
Disagree with ETH's decisions or criticise him for his performance by all means, but this use of the term "fraud" that people seem to use again and again is quite strange and makes zero sense.
As for Amad... He was injured for half of the season, and from around Xmas onwards Garnacho was holding down the RW position and playing quite well from that side of the pitch for a decent while. As a result, Amad would have found himself by default behind two players in Garnacho and Antony that were ahead in the pecking order whilst he would have still been finding his feet after injury.
I personally would have liked to have seen him feature a bit more and get more minutes off the bench than he did, but equally we could argue that his good performances could at least be in part down to extra work on the training pitch and easing him in at the right time. We're simply not ideally placed to say with any certainty that he should have been in the team earlier or that having done so would have paid dividends.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My friend, I am not jumping on anything. I called this guy “Bin Bag” during his first season. I knew then this manager was not up to the job.
He is a fraud for landing this job. Wake up, this guy has landed us worst finish in our premier league history. Broken every single unwanted record. He should go back to Holland.

How long has the manager known Amad is better than Antony I wonder. I hope it's been a lot longer than the last two weeks but he's just tried to stand by his own signing. I could sort of understand that even though I don't rate Antony one bit.
It would be incredibly worrying though if he's only just figured that Amad is actually a better footballer and better for the team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He actually has not. He has seen Antony doing nonsense like covering his mouth and waffling after Crystal Palace and decided to give Amad a chance. This fool of a manager is run by emotions. Make no mistake he would’ve kept Antony had he not done that nonsense and lost his rag when told to play Fullback vs Arsenal

There's some revisionism going on about ETH's apparent stubbornness for Antony. ETH dropped Antony earlier on in the season and put Rashford on the right ahead of him. He was eventually forced to reinstate Antony given that Rashford had performed so woefully that we actually managed to look better with Antony on the pitch. Rashford getting sent off in the CL didn't help in that regard either (harsh as it was) as it meant he wasn't available to deputise from the right.
Then ETH started playing Garnacho on the right instead of Antony as well, with some immediate success and promise it has to be said, which was ultimately unsustained by Garnacho.
Amad was out injured for virtually all of that time and therefore not available.
It's quite clear that ETH has been trying to find solutions on that side of the pitch and that his patience with Antony has worn thin. I'd have liked to have seen Amad play a bit more and think ETH probably did miss two or three opportunities to give him minutes, but I can also understand that he'd want to try and allow his first teamers to find some form and confidence during a period in which we were struggling, rather than blood an untested young player.
Exactly when a manager should roll the dice on a young player is always difficult to gauge and whilst we can sit back on criticise for ETH over Amad from the comfort of our chairs at home, in reality ETH has given Amad chances during a difficult period of our season and it has paid off. Maybe we should be crediting him for bringing him through at the right time...

ETH deserves the sack regardless but if he is dumb enough to start Antony ahead of Amad in the final than he just deserves even more scorn. And possibly a trip to go manage Watford

Using Anthony as a benchmark

As long as Ten Hag comes out with the crap that he has done about Antony in the last few months he really can't be taken seriously. I understand that he is publicly supporting his player, which is fair practice from a football manager, despite what he really thinks about the player, but this can only work if the player eventually repays the manager's loyalty on the pitch. Everybody in football knows that Antony isnt capable of being that player that TH needs him to be. This in turn tarnishes the manager's own credibility. I doubt that Antony will be at the club by next Christmas. Especially if TH is removed in a week or so.
Here is an example of what TH says in the media about Antony....
“I know his (Antony's) abilities and he has great abilities. When he plays like I know he can he is unstoppable, no defender can stop him because he's one of the quickest players in the first 10 yards'.

Need to get the bad eggs like Rashford out of the club before we write off the manager. Paid dividends for Arsenal.
