No doubt this has a massive impact on our season. Utd, Liverpool,ch slea and Brighton could say the same. Arsenal were very fortunate.
Injury stats - top of the league.

It also doesn’t take account of player. I mean we had Sess on that list - faaack me he has played about 20 times in 4 years, that cannot be compared to De Bruyne. Arsenals big injury was Timber - no one knows what sort of impact he would have made good or bad

You have a point but if Sess had been fit since pre-season he may have flourished under Ange and certainly it would not have been such a drop off from Udogie to Emerson.
Same thing with Perisic, in the few games he played this season he proved himself to be a really good late sub on the troublesome left. With him and Solomon out we had nothing on that side really and had to get Werner in on loan to cover that position
I know we have not been hit so hard as others, but it does feel like we have been at least 2 important players short for most of the season.

interesting to see how the gooners cope with a few injuries next season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have been down around the bottom of the injury table for 3 seasons running now. You can all hope and pray for an Arsenal injury crisis next season but it’s pretty clear that Arsenal (and City’s) injury records, despite having relatively small squads, are not just down to luck.

As i said i think there is an element of protection in there from the referees. Both Arsenal and City top the fair play league and get quite a few decisions go there way.
Again both topping the penalties received charts with Chelsea.

Kilman leg breaker
Jackson leg breaker
Ryan Christies leg breaker
3 straight reds ignored in 4 games.
Kovacic should have seen red twice.
Guimaeres should have been sent off twice.
Just a few examples of the protection Arsenal got this season.

Just two stonewall examples,
The Tottenham penalty with Rice, ref desperate not to give it.
Jesus goal, clear handball ref desperate to give it.
Always interested in stats towards Havertz averaging nearly two fouls per game, yet never received a red card.

So one stonewall example is Arsenal conceding a penalty?
2 fouls = red????

Arsenal are now in the bracket of high referee protection that City have dwelled in for a while now. They are one of the whiniest teams in the league. Their reactions to any sort of foul or handball is a unanimous throwing of hands in the air, OTT appealing and in the refs face. Saka takes the approach of, if you hit the deck like you've had your leg broken everytime you are tackled then you will get more free kicks than not.
Fair play to them, they play that game, led by their prancing leading on the side lines who according to stats this season spent more than 25% outside of his technical area. Something that should have garnered a yellow card every time, according to the new rules at the start for the season.

Saka is the least protected player in the league. The number of fouls on him refs ignore is disgusting.
If an Arsenal player punched an opponent like Maddison did to Yates then there is no way he is getting away with it. Not to mention his hilarious play-acting in the NLD at Spurs.
