Felt the need to try to get us going again as it's been too quiet on here of late.
Beware of video compilations, I know, but I've just watched one of Celtic's Lawal and boy does he look good - quick and powerful midfielder with a shot on him.
That was intended as a prelude to my first question, viz, where do you think we will be placed next season and why? I suspect we will be a bit inconsistent (not really surprising) and therefore be a mid-table side. That said, so much depends on who we can bring in.
Last question - our much loved owner made it clear from the outset that he did not really wish to purchase the Club but felt that he had to step in or otherwise we would have disappeared for good. No doubt his intention was to get us on a sound financial footing, win promotion and get us stable in the Championship; all achieved or nearly so but what then? Will he wish to continue or look to sell? The implications are that he will feel, "job done so find another buyer."
Thoughts please.
Where next?

Didn't realise Mel was a fake sheik!
The problem seems to be that the only ones interested in investing in a British club are Americans backed by some hedge fund or a dodgy Saudi, Russian, Thai, etc ( other dodgy nationalities are available)
For the life of me i just cannot understand the party interested in taking over from Everton (US investment firm 777) are in any way, shape or form passing due diligence given how they've saddled other businesses and football clubs with debt. I hope for the sake of their fans that's a deal that collapses.
Over to your questions Chicago - hard to say where we'll be at this point. I'd like to wait and see who we get. For example if we get Adams I'd want him to be our leader for the 2024-2025 season. If not, then who will be leading us out? As great as he's been I wouldn't want NML to be captain.
I see Oxford taking bottom spot, Plymouth only just survived and with Rooney's record not the best, their best player Whittaker likely to leave they'll have a tough season. So that last relegation spot will be a tussle between the usual suspects, Portsmouth and ourselves.
As for future owner ideally you want it to be someone who understands the club and has the best intentions at heart. I've only now decided to give Welcome to Wrexham a chance and whilst it's great to see how a lower division club is run there are aspects of the Americans actions that are cringe-worthy.
I do like Rob McElhenney's determination, he gets it as a sport fan, the community aspect and making it about the people of the community. Profits and losses comes in to it no doubt but at least he's tuned in as a fan would want an overseas owner to be.

1. I hear we are hoping / expecting 12th-15th next season.
2. I also hear Daniel Iversen has been seen at Moor Farm.
3. I think Clowes will look to establish us as a Champ team...but let's face it there's many dodgy people in football and I'd prefer to stick with Clowes for as long as it takes. I still think Mel had Derby in his heart, but it was his cavalier attitude that ultimately did us in.
4. Wayne Rooney. I've chatted with Jorvik about him of late [we are neighbours y'know]. Our conclusion was that Rooney was good at motivating the team with an us against them attitude - but he was aided by what was (at the time) some good players from the Academy. We also felt that Rosenior was the one who oversaw the footballing / coaching. Plymouth may well live to regret his appointment and may have done better with Rosie.
Cheers. Terry in Spain 🇪🇸

Just checked out Iversens senior career.
Currently a Leics player on loan at Stoke, but guess what....
he was on loan at Rotherham in 2019-20.

Iversen's a goalie right? A good one!
Already some Leeds fans are calling for Farke's head branding him as "clueless". (90 points?!
LR will be a good manager for some Championship club. He's very much of the Martin mold.

PS Or is it "mould"? Does it depend on whether you' re American or British?

I think he will sell, I just hope we don't get types like at Chelsea and Brum.
I think we will end up 4th bottom, which will be OK.

Derby has a fantastic fan base, but that doesn’t win you anything. The championship has some strong sides and I’d take fourth bottom right now.

No but I noticed Yman was an Austrian unused substitute.
They must be hard up to pick him in the squad.
