The more I read about him, the less I like him.
Wouldn't cough up top buy the club.
His treatment of the staff.
His tax avoidance
His desire for public money to help pay for a new stadium.
His dislike of premium priced players.
It's all a desire to maximise profits, remind you of anybody.
He may turnout to be a good owner, but I wouldn't want him as a pal.
Sir Jim.

How do you regenerate an area with poor and stupid people in it? Do you just kill them off and demolish their houses then build houses for people with more money that aren't going to smash the place up and stab eachother?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
mmmm I dont know Barry, What do you think. They are just scally drug dealing Mancs, after all.
I say kill them all off and then burn their houses down so their many equally as thick as chite relatives cant inherit them. Then build mansions and sky scrapers with penthouses so that only Billionaires like Uncle Jim can afford them. Just like they are doing all over the rest of Manchester.

Again, offering people redundancy because your overheads are too high is really not a big deal.
Nor is it necessarily a bad thing for staff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its not a normal business though. Not a.good look spending millions on players this summer but making.your kit man, ground staff etc redundant.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not a good look? Perhaps. But mostly the the uneducated.
But the club is a mess. Rain pouring through the roof is not a good look either. Most people know that change is needed - on and off the pitch.
Offering people redundancy isn’t sacking people. It’s giving people the choice. For many, it’s a good option and it benefits both parties.
Pretty standard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's asking.his staff to jump before they're pushed. From the link I posted staff are calling it redundancy not voluntary resignation. Bet morale is great at the club.
Thing is, is it the behind the scenes staffs fault, whether its quality or just numbers, for United's poor form? That's what has a knockon effect on other things like sales, merch and other revenue streams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s complete conjecture.
He’s looking to trim the wage bill and is offering voluntary redundancy. Some people will take it because it’s a good deal for them.
If not enough people take it then maybe they’ll make some more redundancies. Maybe they won’t. You don’t know. Neither of us do.
There’s nothing to criticise on this particular point. It’s normal business practice and many staff will benefit from it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I really don’t think Fields understands what streamlining a business is!
He goes on about it not being a good look, Liverpool didn’t look to good when they weren’t going to pay furlough payments to their staff until they gave in to pressure!

Sounds like a good idea. I hate the poor and stupid, but I also hate the rich and arrogant. The only correct way to be is how I am.

I, for one, am shocked that a Brexit supporting, tax dodging, Tory billionaire turned out to be a massive cuuuuuunt.

It isalso normal business practice to increase prices in line with inflation particularly where demand out strips supply.
If Sir Jim upped prices to the point where D = S then he would be castigated as many folk would be priced out.
Taking furlough from the Govt would also make sense ..not sure "normal business practice" is always a sound defence to the actions of football clubs.
It is understandable that they may want to trim costs but the better PR position would be to lead from the top before applying to the average worker. The monumental waste of money on some players is where the initial targeting should be, then changes filtering down through the whole club become more palatable.
Another season of Rashford walking around the pitch on 250k a week is not a good look against these fiddlings on the cost margins

I'll.give you chance to trawl through the site to find the comments where I condoned LFC's stance on furlough. Whataboutery comparing our clubs respective owners isn't the way forward for a United fan
