Manchester United and Manchester City are set to be given the go-ahead by Uefa to compete in the same European competitions as their sister clubs in the coming season.
United and Nice, the French club owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s company Ineos, have both qualified for the Europa League, while City are in the Champions League along with the Spanish side Girona.

As if any of these sides would roll over so the sister club could advance. Correct decision.

Good news, certainly for me anyway I couldn't see a clear issue? Unless I'm missing something? Wouldn't be the first time

Well let’s say City/Girona or Nice/United are in the same group, both Manchester clubs have qualified and on the final set of group matches, they face off against Girona/Nice with both teams needing results to qualify. Then there is potentially a massive conflict of interests which really shouldn’t be allowed. But Red Bull have been getting away with it for a while so not like this was ever gonna be an issue with United and City.

I may be be wrong but isn't Nice owned 100% by Ratcliffe whilst Girona is part of a consortium which CFG own 32%?
