What kind of thing would you be looking for Bales? Are there examples of other International managers doing the same kind of things?

I mean if I knew I'd be a football manager but I think we know it when we see it. As examples though, I'd be looking for him moving on from players like Maguire and Henderson earlier, when they've shown they've not done it like Germany does. Making big calls in big games to make a difference, like Mancini did to beat us in the last Euros.

It's fine margins and I don't hate Southgate. He's alright. I'm just saying alright gets you through tournaments with a decent squad but won't win you them.

Walker, Stones, Maguire and Shaw is one of the best back fours in international football. There’s not been really any need to change it.

Worth noting that he has moved on Henderson and I’m not sure why Maguire actually needs moving on, especially when you look at who has been behind him in the past four years which has been a bunch of absolutely bang average centre backs, most of whom don’t play on the left.

Not as many as I had earlier!

Even the fans of newly promoted teams wouldn't welcome Safegate as a manager. He's utter dross. The sooner this England generation of talent is rid of him the better zzzzzz
