Ornstein claims United have made an opening bid of £35m for Brantrhwaite.

Good start, if true.

If he signs I'll be interested to see how he develops? I've seen him a good few times last season and grew to think there's something about him and has potential

Obvs dependant on him signing and would NOT want to overpay as we have in the past too many times, let's see what happens

Seems like odd timing from Utd, placing a bid on the same day Everton announce the club is being sold.

Are the new owners really going to want their first act to be selling one of their prime assets? Not the start most owners would want.

Seems very cheap. Got lucky Southgate has a Dunk boner

It's a bid not an accepted one. Everton aren't going to entertain anything under 65/70m or so they say.

50-55m should be our max. This lad hadn't done anywhere near enough yet to be going for 80m.

50-55m for a defender who has had one good season in a backs to the wall relegation threatened defence.

It’s Phil Jones all over again.

He will cost you way more than 35m. Incredibly low offer which now may start a bidding war. If you had agreed personal terms you should have come in with a sensible offer.

Alao gotta question why utd want 2 left sided CBs. Especially if the intention is to play out from the back.

I would have also though pace would be important and Braithwate is long legged but not really a fast CB

Anymore than 50m as a max, walk away. Getting pants pulled down otherwise
