Anyone else a fan? I’ve recently gotten into them after watching a live show and they’re honestly superb and possibly on the verge of being the biggest band in the world (in the metal genre). They’re such a strange mix of styles. They go from serious screamo to comedic Eurovision style songs. They’re funny but also quite deep at times and I think that mix of styles keeps it fresh. One thing all their songs has is a hectic pace to them that makes it the ultimate gym mix. And they’re German of course…

The Daoboys aren’t as heavy as Calculating Infinity era Dillinger, and probably not any mathier, really. Definitely weirder though!
I can go mathier than Dillinger, but not really heavier (certainly in the mathcore realm - I don’t think it really helps the genre, tbh).
Although there are some fun deathcore and heavier metalcore bands, I don’t know about you, but I really can’t wrap my head around deathgrind bands like Cattle Dep and Aborted. I have to draw the line there. It’s just painful listening And largely not very diverse, well-written or interesting stuff.

They had a song called hypa hypa which I liked. Ive not really listened to them properly.
