Let's just suppose

England win the Euros after exciting semi final and final matches.
Do we still want Southgate out ?

I think he’s had enough now. He’ll be gone after this tournament

I think if we are successful and exciting it will be because of the players we have, not the coach.

He hasn't been exciting so far. Yes he has bought the national team together so that they function well as a team, something no one could do with the golden generation, and we should value what he has done but I ferl anything we achieve now will largely be in spite of him and not because of his coaching

That is the boak inducing part because it will be listed as 'services to association football' and not 'services to insomaniacs'.

If England won the Euros, I think it could end up being the best of both worlds.

Eng finally get another major trophy, and Southgate would get to leave with that success under his belt - surely he has had enough of the role by now.

Regardless of how good or bad you think it is, there is a scrutiny that is so OTT, and a real feeling of 'we are setting you up to fail' approach by the media. I know people will say he gets paid a fortune etc, but in football management terms, must be a very tough job.

i think he does that she should run for the hills, go out on a high. if he does it and stays the shine of it will wear off in no time

We won’t have a choice, he will choose to go either way post this comp.

Hopefully he leaves with a trophy and then we can flounder for a decade with Potter/Howe

He has been treated unfairly

I agree with Strike. Aside from the beginning of this current tournament, the previous 3 have given me more enjoyment than several of the ones before. The 2018 WC was the most pessimistic England fans were feeling, and yet we had plenty to cheer about. He deserves a lot of credit in my mind, and certainly doesnt deserve beer cups being thrown at him.

I do get the impression that win or lose, this will likely be his last one.
