No shortage of beeps and waíls from cars and police.
No shortage of chubsters but less than I thought.
Cars, nearly all new and all big.
Loud voices everywhere.
Expensive but you get used to it.
They don't want money only cards.
Trader Joe,s is a good supermarket.
The price you see isn't what you pay, tax added on after.
Tips mandatory ,. usually 18%
Loads of street vendors selling hot food that stinks to me.
Metro okay but no escalators anywhere, so get used to climbing.
People friendly.

The college towns around the US are much better than just about all the cities to be honest. NYC is one of the few exceptions. It has several neighbourhoods based around the colleges anyway which is another leg up it has on most other cities.

Wife's cousin has just sold her waterfront place in Stamford. Empty nesters. Not sure where or what they are moving to but they have places all over the world from careers in banking. Football link - they rented their upper east apartment to David Villa when he played at NYC.

NYC felt like being walled in by buildings you're not allowed inside - brooklyn is cool tho
I rlly liked LA - it's huge and has many scenic areas.. didn't feel unsafe, LAPD and especially the sheriffs dept don't mess around
Atlanta sux - car booters are a menace, southern charm fled long ago
If you like bleak, go to any city in Pennsylvania
don't go to myrtle beach for a beach, go south to garden city, murrells inlet, pawleys island, etc, or north myrtle, cherry grove, or NC beaches
charleston and savannah are nice too
I wanna go to vegas again
