On current form the 8pm will be a horrendous bore. Mbappe and Ronaldo trying to outdo each other in the egomaniac stakes.
Lets hope both sides fix-up in the next 4 days.

Spain aside, I’ve actually enjoyed watching the opponents they’ve beaten more than the teams still in it, even if they are the bigger nations.

They will both probably be tight cagey games though. You don't get many brilliant spectacles from here on in. The world cup final between France and Argentina was the exception to the rule. Usually matches between the bigger nations are awful.

I have a feeling we will get Spain v Portugal, where the story will be 16 yr old Yamal v 41 yr old Pepe.

The way Spain and Germany play, surely that will be a good game, I can see France v Port being a bit more dour.

Three goals maximum between the two games.

Another three on Saturday.

Possible football actually eats itself by Sunday. #inthebin
