Mainoo Vs Bellingham

Last night in my local pub, I was having a debate about England's most important player; the one player you can't afford to take out of the team or lose to injury. For me it's Mainoo all day long, but according to lads in the pub Bellingham is our most important player?

The fact is Bellingham has had a poor tournament, but due to a couple of goals people think he's been world class. There have been numerous games in which he's been largely garbage, as well as sulking and berating his teammates for not passing to him. No way is he England's most important player.

Kobbie Mainoo, in every game he's played for us this tournament, has been our best player by miles and is carrying the team on his back at 19 years old. On top of that, he's our only player who looks capable of consistent magic throughout each 90 minutes and you can tell opponents don't want to go near him.

One is selfish, arrogant, greedy and makes it all about him.

The other is called Kobbie Mainoo.

Just look at France and the revolution happening over there. We can rejoice for our French cousins, because the people have woken up.

The bigger two questions are:

1) When will our country wake up and follow France’s path?

2) At what point will the mentality of this country shift from ‘they’re far right’ to plain old ‘they’re just right’

?

We’re winning in France and we’ll win on these shores too. Italy have followed suit and so shall we.

Not far right, just right.

One thing Cúler is right about is that nationalist authoritarianism is certainly in the ascendancy at this point in history. This is connected to crisis in our information systems and associated normalisation of lying in our discourse, and the excesses of capitalism. There's plenty of money behind this brand of politics (look at the billionaires lining up behind Trump). So despite the fact that immigration is well down the list of priorities of the majority of UK voters right now, as will be reflected in the change of government this week, in the longer term, I'm pretty pessimistic.

These people who have apparently 'woken up' are literally inventing things to be angry at: the WEF's desire to take over the world; geo-engineering on a worldwide scale via chemtrails and cloud seeding; constant plots to create and unleash new pandemics so that 'they' can force everyone to get vaccinated and become bio-slaves in a techno-medical fascist dystopia.

None of these things are happening, but large groups of people have convinced themselves that they are. And it's the far-right parties who are pandering to these idiots.

This is what I fear. You've got lunatics who believe doctors/scientists/statisticians/journalists should be publicly executed for their 'crimes against humanity' during the COVID pandemic. If those voices get louder, and more influential, then the best-case scenario would seem to be a new dark age, with scientists denied funding for any kind of research that might go against what 'the people' want, i.e. just about anything that might be beneficial to humankind, such as ways to tackle climate change, or new vaccines to guard against killer diseases and future pandemics.

And the worst-case scenario doesn't bear thinking about.

I notice Mainoo hasn't been on the field for a single England goal so far. #important

Mainoo did a perfect pass to Saka who was in on goal 5 yards out last game early on and his first touch took the ball to the opposition player.😂

Biggest difference for me is that Mainoo seems much more mature and level headed than Bellingham. I think Bellingham is a brilliant young player, but he needs to calm the feck down and deliver.

There's no doubt to me:

Mainoo is the better footballer. It really is that simple.

He walks into any team in world football. Fans of other teams can deny that all they like, but he would.
