Erik ten Hag has extended his contract as Manchester United men’s first-team manager until June 2026.
Erik ten Hag said: “I am very pleased to have reached agreement with the club to continue working together. Looking back at the past two years, we can reflect with pride on two trophies and many examples of progression from where we were when I joined.
"However, we must also be clear that there is still lots of hard work ahead to reach the levels expected of Manchester United, which means challenging for English and European titles.
"In my discussions with the club, we have found complete unity in our vision for reaching those goals, and we are all strongly committed to making that journey together."

We won’t play like Ajax did with the players we have, but hopefully we’ll start to see something resembling a team that can dominate games better. Still need a lot of work on the squad, regardless of how we’re going to play.

Surely with Onana, Shaw, Martinez, de Ligt, Dalot, Mainoo we should at least see some resemblance to the way EtH's Ajax played at the back?

That style may not work as well in the PL. Plus I’m not entirely sure Erik has the cojones to ever try and be brave at United

We should be looking for an upgrade to Shaw, and using Shaw as an option at LB / CB when fit.

Not really. There’s a lot more issues in the team, and I’d argue they present problems that aren’t as apparent when playing for Ajax vs playing for United due to the competition they were both in.
The profiles aren’t quite right, however, most importantly the quality of the players in comparison to their opponents are vastly different.

Genuinely laughable statement that. He finished 8th in a 4 horse race, with a negative GD, playing football with absolutely no discernible style which made your eyes bleed. He was certainly consistent, just not in a good way.
