Transfers so far...

A week into July and it has been a rather weird window so far - PSR shenanigans at the forefront of much of the business seemingly.
(all fees in this article have been taken from transfermarkt.com and are in Euros)

There have been four €40m+ signings so far for PL clubs:
Max Kilman (47.5) Wolves to West Ham
Ian Maatsen (44.5) Chelsea to Aston Villa
Archie Gray (41.25) Leeds to Spurs
Elliot Anderson (41.2) Newcastle to Nottingham Forest.

Kiernan Dewsbury Halls move from Leicester to Chelsea is next at 35.4m, with relatively unknown Yankuba Minteh joining Brighton from Newcastle after a decent loan at Feyenoord (35m).

Igor Thiago is the first import from out of the English leagues, costing Brentford 33m from Club Brugge. Lewis Hall and David Raya saw their loans made permanent (33m and 31.9m). Brightons second entry on the list sees Mats Wieffer join from Feyenoord for 30m.
Omari Hutchinson (23.5) and Luis Sinisterra (23.4) are further loans made permanent, while Luis Guilherme is the second Brazilian imported in, joining West Ham for 23m from Palmeiras.

There have been 51 signings so far, and some further down the list include:
Iliman Ndiaye (15) Marseille to Everton
Lucas Bergvall (10) Djurgarden to Spurs
Pedro Lima (10) Sport Recife to Wolves
Marc Guiu (6) Barcelona to Chelsea
Ross Barkley (5.9) Luton to Aston Villa
Tommy Doyle (5) Man City to Wolves
Tosin Adarabioyo (free) Fulham to Chelsea
Bobby deCordova Reid (free) Fulham to Leicester
Daichi Kamada (free) Lazio to Crystal Palace

Still relatively early in the window, but some big deals done. Interesting to see how the big money deals work out in the long term.

Looking at those fees, either dodgy inflated sheit to get around PSR or the value is absolutely shocking. None of them at 30m+ players even in this market. Gray has some potential so is the least worse of the bunch.

Maatsen is a good player I think, and fits Emery perfectly.
Elliot Anderson is pure jokes at that fee.

I wonder how many of those fees have performance related parts that will never actually be paid?

maatsen i kinda half get but still, no european clubs paying that and chelsea are desperate, its definitely only that cos chelsea did them a favour the other way buying the youth kid from them?

Yankuba Minteh was good business, wasnt he picked up for 7m?

Your club is quite frankly bat541t crazy. I hope they know what they are doing because from the outside it looks all over the place. And that's saying something as a United fan whose club has been just as ridiculous over the last decade.

It's almost balanced by sales, though, isn't it? Maatsen, Hutchinson and Hall have raised €100M.

We honestly need a journalist to get the inside scoop of what is actually happening at Chelsea, because form the outside it looks pure faaacking madness. Sacking Tuchel for Wizard, sacking Poch who had started getting things right for Maresca.

The transfers are insane, pure insane. There is zero logic, cohesion, joined up thinking or anything resembling a plan.

The crazy thing is that Poch had started to find a side within the madness that he could mould and potentially grow to a CL side - and they sacked him. They are starting from day dot again and the players gets re buying look shiete.

Get it wrong this year and it will be Palmer the vultures circle

Probably not a lot, because add-ons are only booked to FFP accounts as and when they are triggered.

Absolutely stinks that transfer, I’m glad the FA are investigating these transfers - but suspect it will take years to conclude.

Kilman is a good signing with a realistic fee - he will serve West Ham for a long time. Very sensible start for Lopetegui. Don’t know anything about the Guilherme - but it’s punt money so see how that works out.

Sensible signings from Villa as well - they’ve not gone CL crazy and instead bought 2 players that can impact instantly whilst not breaking the bank. Emery is a top manager, they are lucky to have him.

Everton taking punts in the French market I think will pay dividends as well - Onana came from Lille and has been a big hit for them.

Spurs - we signed Bergvall in the Winter window but he moves this summer. I don’t think we will see much of him this season, maybe the Europa game. Highly touted, but we buy a lot of players in this age group and price range that ultimately don’t make it - it’s a numbers game.

Archie Gray, now I’ve caught up on him, seems more of a sure thing hence the inflated fee. Everyone says he is special - let’s see.

We’re waiting on Doue and Eze if you believe the social media circles, and possibly Toney as well.
