Done deal - Kamara

Rennes

BBC sport suggesting £8.4m which represents decent profit.

Personally think its a good sale. Of all the players last season he was the only one that really frustrated me with his refusal to try and create anything. Didnt like passing it forwards in advanced places of the field, wouldnt cross the ball, never attempted to take a player on, and stopped shooting after missing 2-3 sitters early on in the season.

Anyone thinking Sheff Utd were not a threat:
Signed Kiefer Moore and Callum O'Hare.

Kept reading how they were in financial trouble.

If nothing else, it should keep our leadership
on their toes and looking to strengthen. A lot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The O'Hare signing was there for weeks and we clearly didn't pursue it for a reason, rumours that he wanted premier league football were clearly not true and if Rutter's not leaving would he start ahead of him, probably not. O'Hare would want first team football, Sheffield United can offer him that, Rutter starts week in /week out, and with Aaronson back, O'Hare could find himself third. Yes it strengthens SU but in that position we have a strong hand.
Moore gives Sheffield United options but does he really improve them? Bamford/Joseph/Piroe/Gelhardt. If Farke can get them playing it's pretty strong. I think Joseph is going blow the league apart.

Pretty sure Rangers have a sell on - no idea how much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not much, I read it's 5%, about 500,000 Euros or £425,000. Think that comes out of the money we get.

I thought Kamara was far more progressive than Gruev, always involved far higher up to he pitch.

If we've made a profit, that's great news now if we can sign a midfielder who knows how to score goals that's a real result.

What does being more progressive than Gruev have to do with it?

That was Kamara's job and he only did it barely.........always has to be sly digs at certain people year on year

Who will it be this year?

He's never going to get you goals, he isn't that sort of player.

Him and Gruev in the middle is a literal void of goals.

I think they are both great players in this league and both important to how we play, however if you want goals from the middle having both in there doesn't get you that.

Rothwell got 4 in 16 last year and arronson for all his faults is more goal involved so I get why you would take this.

It's a good deal for a player that probably won't feature as much as out of the two you would probably play Gruev in the defensive midfield role as that's much more his role

hmm, a bit annoyed at this thought he was a good player for us and hoped he would stay - though realistically you have to expect this sort of thing after failure to go up

happy enough the role he played too.. in that system thought it was more important he wasn't too progressive... have been many examples over the years of these types of players.. a couple of which are regarded as legends..

If we were to get another 10 we need a passer first, in the mould of Pablo, rather than a dribbler, which both Aaronson and Rutter are. Think o'hare is more of a dribbler than someone who can thread balls in behind.

Hope we start getting some quality incomings soon.
