To me the Yoro deal is something you will be better able to evaluate once the season gets going and the window shuts.

He seems like a good purchase from what you read but one questions the price paid, particularly as the word seems to be that Utd have some PSR constraints

If that money spent limits what else you get to add to the squad this summer then questions may be asked. But if you still have the ability to get a few more experienced players into key positions then what you spent doesn't matter so much and you can be patient with him.

What other business you do and how you start the season will dictate fans attitudes towards your your strategy.

Right now the jury is probably out as to whether spending a big chunk on an inexperienced CB was the right thing to do or not.

Also like the Zirkzee fee I wouldn’t be surprised if it was staged in several payments over the coming years.

You are averaging about 200m euros transfer per season over the last few years, gross, and you've spent about 100m so far. SO you may well have another 100-150m euros to spend without changing much, particularly as, if you needed to make some PSR savings, you have sold well with profits on a couple academy grads.

If (as reported) some of the fees are staged payments, it won't be anywhere near 100m. Also, Greenwood and Kambwala fees being that down more. There's also the wages getting taken off the books (I'm sure they'll be more leaving before the window closes).

For the first time in ages, it actually looks like United know what they're doing with transfer fees and getting rid of deadwood
