Should we have considered Hojbjerg

Fair enough we might be getting rid of the likes of Hojbjerg and Lo celso but we are replacing them with inexperienced players whose potential won’t be realised for a few more years.

We need premiership ready players NOW and as much as I like Gray, Bergvall and Ramsey we need players capable of dragging us into top 4 and beyond this coming season.

I understand things could easily still change but Not seeing any real improvement in this current squad and being linked with the likes of Mctominay doesn’t really help!!

Is Aussieglue doing anything about building a squad for the coming season?
Seems to be underwhelming activity,
and what there is involves second rate players.
So far, what's coming in is no better than what's going out. Maybe even be worse.

Where's the world class midfield?
Where's the Kane standard striker?

Frankly seems like we need a new manager.
But of course there's always Levy in the mix, screeewing things up as usual.

Lets hire Dumbgate!

I'm not saying Hojbjerg is a world-beater by any means, but I feel he is better than Casemiro (reliability and age), McTominay (just not as good, even allowing for a few goals) and DCM not really his best position and Amrabat (has shown enough, even though minor improvement in last few games).

So probably a good squad player - I know our new transfer policy etc, but doesn't mean we should rule out a sensible buy in the short-mid term. I know the player wants more games so may not have wanted to come anyway.

But of course I want us to address the DCM position with hopefully the next Rodri / Kante etc, whereever he may be hiding right now . But I doubt we are going to bring in 2 potential top operators in that position, never mind one

Getting rid of Hojbjerg with the current in comings is madness.
We need to strengthen the midfield with world class players before getting rid of top quality bench players.
Maddison is all but finished.
who else is there? the likes of Gray won't be good enough.Not this season.
Need Danii Olmo class midfielders.

This move may bite our asses mid season.

Anyways...it seems done and Hojbjerg is off to a better club than Spurs!

Being linked with some Colombian CM playing in Brazil now, Richard Rios for around £17m.

I’m sure him and Ugarte links will will Stretty with South American joy.

I don't think we would off load Hojberg and not bring on another CM or DCM.

I may be wrong but going into a season with Sarr Bissouma Bentancur and Skipp (assuming GLC also leaves) as CM options is too light and we need at least 1 more, 2 if Skipp also goes.

We have added very talented youngsters and it sounds like Bergvall was promised game time and Gray cost so much we have to play him...but I am not really too sure of theor positions.

However, I liked how we grew under Poch with a young team and if you look at Vicario VDV Udogie Gray Bergvall Romero Dragusin Sarr we have a quality young core that will be our backbone for 5 years or so, and hopefully some of the academy attacking talent will also come through.

Totally accept we need 2 or 3 more oven ready Stars to improve us in the here and now.
