Trump winning would mean Bannon and Navarro running the USA while the fat orange one watches Fox or plays golf. He didn't do any work the first time he was in the White House, he will leave it all to his fascist buddies if he wins again. Crazy country.

The problem with American politics is that there's such a huge divide that I think the presidency will just keep rotating between the two parties for the time being. It is going to take some character from Harris to convince the swing voters to stick with the dems for another 4 years

Continual rotation looks unlikely in the event of a Trump victory. The partisan right-wing majority on the Supreme Court has basically put the POTUS above the rule of law, while Trump-appointed judges at lower levels have been making unprecedented rulings in his favour. MAGA has taken on an intoxicated, radical momentum as a movement, and the people around Trump are explicitly authoritarian, and many of them convicted crooks. Voter suppression by the GOP has been happening on a significant scale for years. It's very hard to imagine much more drastic measures to guarantee minority rule on the part of the guy who tried to steal the last election.

100%, and don't forget that a large proportion of the electorate are made up of the people Trump set out to convince with his lies " I love the poorly educated". Trump can (and has, twice), lost the popular vote but as in 2016 win the electoral college. This might be the last time the US has a free vote for Head of State, the rabid right would have the orange conman as King or Supreme Being because a) the more educated fascists know they can control Trump because he is lazy and has the attention span of a goldfish and b) the MAGA crowd in general is made up of the likes of Boebert and Greene who have made stupidity into an artform.

We are not many years away from the Republicans winning every election. The educated professionals are not having as many children as the bible bashing midwest redneck folks who are knocking out 3+ on average.
