Leicester reportedly open talks with the Arsenal player, loan deal with obligation to buy.

Think this would be a good signing for us in our position. Would like to see something being done about the midfield though - there’s zero creativity in the centre of the park at the moment

Totally agree on the need for a new creative midfielder, whether that be a No. 8 or a No.10. We are severely lacking in creative options and we are going to miss KDH's goal contributions this season. Gustavo Hamer at Sheff Utd would be worth a shout, and was someone we were looking at when he was at Cov.
As for Nelson, he's an OK player but the transfer strategy this season is just very Meh. The players we have signed are exactly the kind of players you would expect a club likely to finish 16th-20th to make. That's our level right now, but it doesn't make it any more exciting. Cordoba-Reid is a signing so Meh that pretty much every fan seems to have forgotten that we signed him.

Unfortunately we're in the position of desperately trying to stay up this season as opposed to feasting at the top table.
On a different topic, just curious, what sort of reception do we think Madders will get at the first match?

If you want to stay up Nuneaton history tells you that you have to sign better players. Not the kind of players we’ve been targeting.
You have to sign the calibre of players we used to. Or you need to be unearthing absolute gems. We’re doing neither.
We are such a basket case of a club that we’re now in a position where we can’t get the players or evidently the manager we wanted. That’s mainly due to the financial mismanagement of the club and the appeal of Leicester.
Even if there was no points deduction - it’s a recipe for relegation. Everyone but Mersey has pretty much excepted we’re finished as a going concern under these owners - it’s now a question of when the fans publicly start turning against the club and I think we’re about to see that

All a bit gloomy really re recruitment. Typified by the reported interest in Jordan Ayew. Not exactly going to set the world alight (if you’ll pardon the expression given the state of the climate).

The signings we are being linked with are horrible I’ll be honest. If we signed Ayew then I think we’re pretty much preparing for the championship. It feels like we are already
What an absolute bunch of clowns some of our fans have been to be so blind to what Top has done to this club since he inherited it
I read the other day that Leicester rank 5th in the whole of the football league for transfer revenue received over the past 7 years. The fact that despite this we are in line to breach FFP by a record amount (and not just once by the way) beggars belief
To every fan that is STILL backing this ownership - you are part of the problem. You’re as culpable as Top himself
