I remember reading a few months ago about Lingard being criticised by the head coach. He was then injured. After coming back from injury, his performance has improved. He is also well liked by the fans and has put in good performances for the team.
He was meant to be taking part in a friendly against Spurs but had to withdraw as he is injured again.
Overall he has gotten on side with the coach and got fans on board. His interaction with young fans in Korea is good to see as well.

And it's good to see him helping out. Often times people are the flashy side of him and forget he isn't just that.

Just couldn’t warm to Lingard, did well as any academy graduate does. But didn’t seem to have the drive or willingness to take the ego hit and make it for a lower team than UTD once he wasn’t first team regular.
