Rangers will open their league campaign away to Hearts at Tynecastle at 12:30pm Saturday, with only Motherwell vs Ross County the other Saturday fixture
The early kickoff on Sunday will be the Dundee derby, with St Mirren facing Hibs after that, before Celtic unfurl the flag at home to Kilmarnock at 4:30pm
A tremendous result for St Mirren last night sees them progress 4-1 on agg in the Conference League....Kilmarnock narrowly lost out to Cercle Brugge, but will join St Mirren in the Conference League 3rd qualifying round
What's all our thoughts and expectations on the eve of the new season
I'm not confident we will be strong title contenders this season, but as ever, I will probably expect it, and there's always the hope of being pleasantly surprised. The arrival of Propper yesterday I'm hoping will be a major boost for us, midfield were looking better in the Union Berlin match, but we've still got big Dessers up top, been no real change there yet so could have the same weaknesses in front of goal
First match away to Hearts is a tough test, last thing I want us to do is hand the initiative to Celtic straight away, but I fear it's gonna happen....we shall see

it's amazing how people can stay in a job, when they claim doing business is so hard, in every transfer window, while the majority of clubs just get on with it.
January is hard

July - well if you thought June was bad, i think i might need a few weeks off, this is just too much
August - omg, just, help, someone, please, feel pity for the work i'm failing at doing for my massive salary. We ran out of time after 3 months, nobody wanted our money, what a cruel world.....

To start the season with 1 recognised striker is criminal.
Even stranrear probably have 2 or 3 striker in their squad. Yet we think its ok to have only 1.
That is all down to the board as the mangeer has been quite vocal about the need for players in.
I cant think of any other club that will spend months negotiating a fee.

BTW, I fully appreciate that whether or not Rangers make the CL WILL impact our finances … BUT surely not to the point that we put our entire recruitment “strategy” (do we have one?) on hold in the meantime? Our lack of forward thinking really is quite astonishing. I’m not even sure we see an actual DM as a requirement, but surely to feck we can’t go into the CL with our current midfield of basically 3 AMs, with one (CalMac) nominally sitting deeper. I’m expecting nothing from those games, but that’s been a suicidal approach in recent seasons. Man City need a DM (and 4 absolute units behind him), but we don’t?
