“ We have pretty limited resources”

Farke on replacing Summerville.

85m of sales, red bull buying in, record shirt sales, but limited resources.

Same old bull.

“The fee paid was a release clause triggered by West Ham built into Summerville's Leeds contract pre-49ers Enterprises.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who the hell has said that 🤦

They have been involved for six years, had 44% since 2021 and 100% since 2023.

Summerville signed new deal in 2022.

Why is it the same idiots, have to defend every owner, then blame the previous owners, who they orginally claimed were great.

Its rinse and repeat.

Same thing happens time and again, 49ers must be peeing themselves that they e been involved fir years now and very little scrutiny of why we never seem to have any money.

Guys,
I dug out this interview with Maguire taking about Leeds finances earlier this year. Actually doesn't mention £335m here but does mention £190m and £260m
Spending, but also intimates sales cash was used to pay wages, not on the cost of the new players, who were paid for on 'credit card'.

Really worth while you listening to this personally, to get a wider picture of things, but does sound like we needed to find £30/40m by £6/24 and need to find another £70m by 6/25, and £50m 6/26.
Have a listen and make your own minds up.

So If Maguire didn't mention it, but it was him you cited, what made you say 335m?

We've all known that we had to find 90m this summer to pay for utterly inept way we did business, but we've made far more than that in sales in last 12 months, plus parachute money, plus apparently massive red bull sponsorship deal, plus red bull buying a stake, plus record shirt sales etc etc.

We can't keep having. this and yet be told we dont really have the money.

Jonty, he said we spent £335m in 3 years on transfers (elsewhere, as I quoted). Ultimately, we still owe a lot on these purchases, much more than we've raised in sales/sponsorship.

Just have a listen and make you're own mind up. He does say there's a difference between cash flow and player purchase debts.
To me sounds like AR used players sales cash for wages and stuff and we haven't been good at managing cash flow.

The overall perception is that we need to make money from player sales.

Doesn't seem to make any difference if the owners have money or not. Apparently Newcastle are in a similar situation 🤷‍♂️.

Don't shoot the messenger. Just trying to find a justification like everyone else is.
"These shyster 49ers are milking us" just seems rather naive. More likely they're trying to put stuff on a sounder footing for the future. But that won't suit the conspiracy theorists

They had a minority stake since 2018. They bought the club in 2023. Summerville signed his new contract in 2022.

Not hard to work out that the majority owners had the final say in contracts until they sold up 2023.

The fact is he signed his contract pre-49ers full ownership.

We apparently owed £90m on transfers due to be paid coming up to June 2024, so how do you come to this conclusion?

We sold Sinsiterra and Adams, what was that 40m?

We've then sold and Gray, Summerville, Llorente etc, that's another 80 mill at least, plus parachute payments, Red Bull investment, Red Bull sponsorship deal, record shirt sales, play off matches revenue etc etc.

As for 49ers milking us comment, we have Paraag saying he can do contracts in his sleep, he was one of owners that got us in this mess.

Unfortunately 49ers give us very little of anything tangible to go on.

Don't worry. All I said effectively was that none of us really know the true picture, but have personal perceptions, which don't necessarily align.
But that's life. Let's just see what happens.
