Just don’t know if the Prem League suits him…

Evidently not. Ultimate flatter to deceive player of little substance

Complete disappearing act from Sancho in the game, tends to do that when we need him the most. False 9 or whatever position, just doesn't do enough.
Marcus on the other hand has kicked on during pre-season, looks leaner, sharper and hungrier than ever.

I thought Casemiro had turned a corner due to his performance against Betis, well, his performance against Liverpool showed, yet again, he's below par for games against pacey sides. Squad material at best, should no longer be starting games. We need Ugarte desperately!
Blooding of youngsters has been a key feature of our pre season. Collyer has shown enough promise to get games in the coming season, maybe not ready to start against the very top sides. Found wanting for the 2nd goal with a misplaced pass then a poor recovery "tackle". He'll learn from this experience, he won't have come across someone like Salah every week. Amass is also another with immense talent, needs more experience under his belt but I thought he handled Salah well in most instances which is a big compliment for the lad. Both Collyer and Amass have a big future ahead of them, let's not expect too much and also expect they'll experience bumps along the way as part of their learning curve. Whatever they give us is a bonus.
Alarmed by the injuries, Fish suffered what looked like a serious leg/ankle injury. He had only just come on. The list of casualties during the tour has shot up, so that's Yoro, Hojlund, Rashford and Antony (who was useless anyway) !

Result not what we wanted but my God the performance was worthy of raising a cherish cat smile. I loved it for most of the game, 3 nil flattered Liverpool. At one point Liverpool were lucky not to be trailing 3-1, maybe 4-1. The attacking intent, pattern of play, the way we press and counter press in numbers was a key aspect I enjoyed. The fragility bourne out of inexperience and inability of so called experienced players were reasons we conceded goals. We were also guilty of wanton profligacy, a malaise of season prior, which needs to be ironed out but the fact we penetrated Liverpool with ease with creativity and positive play generally on the front foot leaves me wanting more. Result means nothing in pre season for me.

Man Utd missing chances has been usual for Ten Hag though, hence why I was desperate for Kane. Just hoping Zirkzee turns into RVN.

But if he turns into RVN… then who the hell is that sitting next to Ten Hag?!

I think Zirkzee may actually turn into RvP rather than RvN. Ruud was all about goals, RvP had an all round game which is what Zirkzee is about, in fact he knits play so much that he often goes missing from where we actually need him, as a number 9!
