Excuses, excuses

'We have pretty limited resources'.
Who are you kidding, Farke? We have the best young striker in this division in Joseph, we have a stacked midfield, a rejuvenated Firpo (finally playing in the left wing-back role after four misplaced years at left-back), a fit-again Pascal, we have exciting talent coming through in the shape of Debayo and Crew and name me one club that has players of the quality of Ampadu, Gnonto or Piroe? As for Georginio, let's hope no-one saw his goal yesterday, because it was a complete fluke and the only reason he was playing is because Bamford is injured. We have picked up some tidy players in Rodon, Rothwell and Bogle, and we have the wantaways wanting to be here, for now at least. If he thinks this lot are 'limited resources', Farke deserves the boot before the season starts. This squad has more depth than the Mariana Trench. There is no excuse for not winning promotion this season.

Norwich, West Brom, Luton, Burnley, Sheffield United?

Well he’s hardly gonna tell the fans and the world that we have unlimited resources is he? Even if we have!

I take it all with a pinch of salt and just let them get in with it.

Basically all clubs have limited resources due to the rules now. Look at Newcastle / rich beyond their dreams but handcuffed by the profitability and sustainability rules.

Plus by “limited resources” he was actually talking about the money side of things and replacing Cree - not the squad he has now.

I think you misunderstood.

Stacked midfield 🤣 We have 3 senior centre midfielders as it stands for a 48 game minimum season.

As for Rutter, his goal wasn't a fluke, it was superb and he's playing ahead of Bamford as he's injury prone and a waste of space.

People are reading too much in to his comments, there's no way we don't have money to spend he just means we aren't going to be spending 25m on one player

Oh well, sometimes its better to wait and see what comes, but surely we're better of now than when AR and some before him were doing the dealings?..

I could ask again are we better of now than before the 49ers, or not?..

But I know I ask questions that some seem to find difficult to answer!..

I know, some'll now come back with the good ol where's the money gone that's come in, strange thing is, some that ask that say the club has to pay "x" amount of money which if correct seems a large sum, Gray went to pay one bill, but according to some, there are a couple more coming that also need addressing!..

And the fluke comment, that's exactly what it is, a tongue in cheek thing!..

True. You forgot to mention Coventry. They've been quietly building. Rudoni and Asante look like very astute purchases and their recent pre-season performances have been impressive - they beat Everton 3-0 and were unlucky to lose 2-1 to Bremen. In my view, they will be going up this year.
