Are they going to continue to be a problem for us this season?
It looks like Farke is going to start with Gruev and Ampadu in midfield in preference to Rothwell. It is clear that when Rothwell is on the pitch that our corners are so much better.
With Gruev and James, apart from the short one that ended up as 1-2 and then an off side, almost all of the corners failed to miss the man at the front post.

Strange about corners - not sure where the change happened but stopped 'believing' we'd score from a corner.
not sure about all these routines, and drills, - should be a little school, whip it in, and have big fellas to head it

Neatly scored twice first half from corners. Gruev and Rothwell can take decent ones.

Struijk really our only threat in the box and he was unavailable for most of last season.
If he’s not playing I don’t see the point in delivering the ball into the box. Might as well play it short and build pressure again.

Nothing wrong with the delivery. As above we only have one major threat from corners. Look at the corner stats from August to January with Struijk in the team and then compare them to when he wasn’t in the side.

So you thought the corner delivery on Saturday was fine Kebab? We had a number of corners in the first half, one was a short corner which I would class as a school boy error, passed straight back to the guy taking it, no surprise he was coming from an off-side position. There was one that was played long but had too much loft on it, all of the others failed to beat the man at the post.
Rothwell comes on, corners are a threat.
Even Struijk's not going to pose a threat to a Gruev corner.

Haven't watched the game on Saturday yet.
In general last season the ball went into the right area of the box the majority of times.
Rodon has 1 career goal
Ampadu has never scored a league goal
Cooper has 17 goals after all those games.
