They got to find a way to shift him because he will defo be one of the ones on 'the list'. €6m, striker, depending who you believe on anything from £23k to £38k.

Danilo is a bigger issue than Dessers at the moment, we've our biggest signing in the last however long out for a year.
Now back but kid on back. Rumours he's still taking injections to allow him to train. So that injury likely a lot worse than we were told.
Calls to loan him out are madness though. Full rehab then reintroduced to the team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There was plenty of pictures going about of Danilos knee after his op. Two serious scars - one about 4 inches and one about 2 inches. It was a major operation.
I am not sure why its madness to suggest getting him out on loan to get match fit.
Its exactly what we did with Hagi and Katic when they had similar injuries.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They worked out well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Beat me to it.
Exactly why it's stupid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Im really missing the logic to the argument here.
Hagi and Katic going on loan told us exactly what we needed to know - they never got back to the level of player they were before the injury. Neither of them would have featured for us if they had stayed. At least they had the opportunity to get back playing at a level.
What is the point in keeping Danilo in the building if he isnt fully up to first team football? Keeping him sitting on the bench when we need a goal like we did at Tynecastle?
We cant afford to play him every week for 2-3 months whilst he hopefully moves from 50% up towards 100%.
Danilo looked miles off it in the preseason friendlies. He clearly wasnt running freely and clearly needs a lot more work. As it stands I wouldnt drop Dessers for him and I am not Dessers biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination.
Maybe playing every week at a mid table team in a less competitive or physical league with better weather, better pitches etc for a period would be the best thing for him?
If he progresses quickly and looks the player we want him to be we could bring him back in Jan.
If we loaned him out I would look to bring someone else in on loan in his place as a cover. Someone who provides something different to Dessers and we know is actually going to be fit.
Danilos injury was a really bad one. Its fine to say you would be looking for a return on a player within two years but if they suffer an injury as severe as his you have to be realistic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Katic is miles better now than he was when we had him and he showed it pretty quickly after leaving. Hagi should have been re-integrated to the squad all we did on both of those was lose value loaning them out and putting diddies in their place.
Danilo first and foremost needs to completely recover (i think most people doubt that is the case at the moment) then re-join the first team and show us what he can do. If it's a case of being a sub while he builds fitness fine, there will be plenty of opportunities.

Im glad Katic has got back up to playing at a decent level - but I have no clue how you can measure that he is supposedly miles better now. He played about 20 games on loan to Hadjuk Split and now plays for FC Zurich who we would be thoroughly delighted to be drawn against in any European competition - although its unlikely because they are a Conference League team.
The Swiss league is one where Cedric Itten is a bit of a star but I can bet your bottom dollar Itten is still slower than a week in the jail, lacks physicality and is notwhere near up to Rangers standard.
Loaning Katic out was the right thing to do . I saw him trying to play for the B team in the Challenge cup at Dumbarton just before he went to Split - and like Danilo - you could see his body was mechanically miles off adjusting to the effects of his knee injury.
The idea for loaning Hagi out was to try to show his value. We strategically loaned him to a mid table team in a league the club thought would (and should) have suited his style.
Hagi was always decent but lacked pace and that wee bit of zip that would turn him from a good player into an excellent one. A bad knee injury like his was never going to enhance the attributes he has.
He had a chance to show his talent in Spain and failed. That wasnt the fault of the loan it was Hagis fault ultimately he came up short.
IMO neither player would have fared any better sitting on the bench or in the stand at Rangers.
I hope Danilo comes good and would rather not loan him out. I am just struggling to see where he gets the game time to get the match sharpness he really needs because he is miles off it right now.

The game time has been there for Danilo in our opening two fixtures, chasing a goal. Perfect time to put him on, that he's not been put on says more about his injury than the lack of chances to use him

Why have him on the bench at all then? Give it a youngster who will appreciate the experience and the squad fee.

Exactly - if we dont trust him to be fit enough or a better option to Dessers when we need a goal then he clearly isnt going to get the game time he needs to get fully up to speed.
Its a chicken and egg situation and one of the solutions to it is to get Danilo game time in a competitive but maybe slightly less demanding environment.
We havent even seen enough of Danilo yet to really see if he can be a Rangers number 9. A half fit Danilo certainly isnt ready to carry that burden.
Dessers has huge deficiencies in his game but he has started the season well. He was a tiny deflection off a defender from scoring when he hit the bar against Hearts and a world class save from his header the other night from scoring a double. Thats after he bagged a double against UB.
Dessers could easily be sitting on 5 goals in his last 3 games. He looks strong and as fit as he has done.
Danilo is nowhere near that level at the moment.

1 goal in 2 is all that matters and he was pash v Hearts.
If Danilo when fit can't shift him out of the team then he's rotten.
It's went awful quiet on our ins and outs in the last week. Could do with the board pulling their finger out.
