Back to blighty for our final pre season warm up game at home to our visitors from Madrid who finished one place but a comfy 5 points clear of the La Liga relegation zone last season. No names of particular note in their team but should be a decent test back on home Turf.
Wolves are likely to be without Matheus Cunha who is recovering from a hamstring issue still and Pedro Neto who is on the brink of a move to Chelsea 😥
Good news though is that Gary O'Neil has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until 2028.
Weather in the west Midlands looks to be nice over the weekend, in stark contrast to here in the west of Scotland (not far from our old mate Bute today actually) where it is absolutely by bucketing down, so should be perfect conditions for the final warm up.
Enjoy the game, be bloody nice to each other and think of me while I climb another munro in the pouring rain ☔️

Wolves were the last match out of the hat in the Carabao Cup draw. We will be at home to Burnley on the 27th or 28th August

Rumours Wolves have put in a bid for Oumar Solet from RB Salzburg. French centre back linked with Man Utd earlier in the summer.

We'll have to start moving a few of our foreign contingent, as we have 20 over the age of 21 at the moment. Solet has missed quite a few games over the last two seasons with guess what...hamstring and thigh problems.
When are Fabio, Guedes and Podence moving on?

I'm sure the club have a plan for who they register Wolfie. Best not to worry about it.

Good to hear that Cunha is back in training although I doubt he will start on Saturday.
Boubacar Traore has now also returned after being given time off after his Olympics efforts

Guedes has been shown on most marketing stuff this summer, so you would have thought there is a good chance he is here for the season.

The problem with Guedes and Fabio is that their Wolves salary is probably higher than they’re going to get offered anywhere else. So I suspect they’ll just go on loans until they’re free agents. Still think Guedes will be loaned out by the month end but that’s far less certain than it felt a few months ago

Wolves weren’t happy with the loan with option to buy offer Genoa made for Fabio so have pulled out of that one. Probably because there are now a number of other clubs showing an interest
