Get the foook in I really hope we manage to get a midfielder in as well now, get rid of either Cassy/McTom/Eriksen and I think that’s our summer done.

I thought De Ligt kind of fell away, after early career hype. He's like 4th choice in Bayern after Kim Min-Jae, Upamecano and Dier. Also became 4th choice Dutch CB after Van Dijk, De Vrij and Van de Ven (also Ake, but the Dutch often played him at fullback). Is he still attracting big club attention?

That’s not true (at Bayern).

Not over the moon with either of these signings but hopeful they will come good.

Me too. De ligt gives me no confidence and it's the same former Ajax-Ten Hag connection

De Ligt and Dier ended up being Bayern’s CB pair and de Ligt was considered their best CB last season, to the point where fans were petitioning to keep him at the club. Both Kim and Upamecano lost their spots in the side midway through the season.

The main reason both Juve and Bayern sold de Ligt seems to be to lower their wage bill and bring in needed funds more than anything else. Although I am a little concerned about his injuries/fitness.

Juve, maybe, but are Bayern really the kind of team looking to trim their wages? Always had great finances.

They are not a mess financially but they are no longer as shrewd in the transfer market. The direction they are heading with transfers and managerial changes is highly questionable. I think they may have Ed Woodward DNA somewhere in the senior management team!

Bayern are nowhere near as well run as they were a decade ago. Look who they just hired as their manager.

They did well getting rid of Kahn and Brazzo but they still dont seem right.

82,

Matthijs de Ligt has missed only 27 matches through injury for club and country over the past three seasons, the SAME as Harry Maguire and FEWER than Victor Lindelöf (31) and Lisandro Martínez (67).

As with Utd, sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better!

Vengeance

Let’s see, he missed 80 days injured last season and our club seems to have a knack of getting players even more injury prone in recent years.

I think Mazraoui is the bigger injury concern.

👍

I can also understand the scepticism given how shocking our injury record in recent seasons. Let's wait and see what unravels through the season.
