I'd definitely take Toney next summer on a free transfer assuming he isn't sold before then or signs a new deal which seems unlikely.

If Hojlund and Zirkzee don’t have a good season then yes.

I'm worried about both of them and one of them hasn't even played a single minute for us yet. 😂

Neither player is going to have had a proper pre season now which is a huge concern. Hojlund though injury and Zirkzee through coming back late and obviously not being up to speed yet.

Their goal scoring records aren't anything special either.

The difference with Zirkzee he'll allow others to score more, he's more of a team player and here to play the false 9.

Doing it in the PL with a club like Brentford though needs to be taken into account.

As we saw with Weghorst......he scored goals in Germany and for Holland but couldn't hit a barn door for us. Zirkzee is a huge gamble because his record isn't even overly impressive in an inferior league.

Agreed but apparently he has other strengths. Maybe him playing will create more for the likes of Rashford and Garnacho.

We do have 4 or 5 players who have proven they can hit double figures for us.

We will have to hope he's a diamond in the rough I suppose.

Next few weeks I suspect it will be:

Garnacho Rashford Amad


Can't see us playing false 9 against anyone except City and possibly Arsenal and Liverpool but even those two I'd expect to see a striker.

De Ligt ed. The forty seventh time just on here I suppose.

Ive never seen him play much so Im not sure about him. I think Juventus and Munich werent overly impressed with him to be fair. But we do need a new centre half to start the new season that's for sure. Lets hope he can pull up a few trees for United. Maguire and Evans certainly are not the answer.

Don’t think that’s all it’s cracked up to be..you can be an incredible player but not suit the 100 mph prem, look at veron, easily a more naturally talented player than the likes of keane. Didn’t suit it. You are writing players off on your perception of other leagues.
