Derby County 2-1 Chesterfield -Carabao Cup

DERBY COUNTY v CHESTERFIELD Carabao Cup #1

Tuesday 13th August 2024, 1945 Pride Park Stadium, Derby

So, still sweltering in the heat and after the defeat on Friday, we have the usual kn obheads, match tourists and FIFA 24 experts calling for Warne’s head, all gloom and doom and we might as well relegate ourselves now.

So, we still have the Cup to go for on Tuesday night. Will there be a more experimental side or do we play the kids (have we got any kids?)?

Sparse crowd expected as many will struggle to raise any passion for a cup that does not really resonate.

Team: Vickers (GK), Wilson, Forsyth, Ozoh, Bradley, Cashin, Barkhuizen, Thompson, Goudmijn, Nyambe, Brown

Subs: Luthra (GK), Osborn, Collins, Mendez-Laing, Washington, Jackson, Elder, Ward, Nelson.

I spent last season looking up at you lot, nice to be looking down for a change even 2 games in

πŸ‘πŸ½ May you have a good season.

Derby County reserves aka Bristol City with a strong line up lost to Coventry.

We're into the next round and making an extra £5k as a result. In fact are we making any money in the early rounds or is it a loss? Unless that's the L1 trophy that proves to be no money spinner at the beginning?

I've taken against Zetterstorm, bring back Wildsmith.

Give it a rest. Wildsmith wanted to go and this guy can’t help that his club wanted a replacement in before letting him go. If he’s the next Mart Poom you’ll be eating your words.

I think £1.5 million is rather a lot when we haven't got much money, it would be better spent on a number 9.
