So looks like a new keeper

Is incoming.

Now do we really need another keeper unless we are selling kellher or Allison.

I just don't get what we are doing atm.

Every one can see we need a number 6. It is ridiculous we have other got a lo g term solution in there for now looks like 3 seasons.

Looks like Ali might have told club that he wants a new challenge after this season is my guess. This keeper will go back on loan while the current squad flaws remain.

He’s being brought in now and loaned out, it’s great planning for further down the line for when Ali starts to regress. But as someone sad on the Tranny Thread, why isn’t the same thought being applied to other positions.

Signing a player for next season is all well and good but it does absolutely nothing for us now and we look amateurish, unprepared and I’m sure the players here already aren’t impressed with it.

It's a brilliant bit of future planning but it's hard to get excited if our first signing is someone who won't even be here this season

I feel sorry for slot. He is new and obviously doesn't want to rock the boat too muhc but he must be disappointed. Esp during tour of usa where I think he mentioned of some transfer inbound

We can only wait and see what the next couple of weeks bring. If this is our only signing then its very disapointing as the current squad clearly needs some work.

If we manage to get 1 or 2 in alongside this then I'm happy enough. Dont really care what order we sign folk. Whether this guy was our 1st or last signing of the window isnt really important, whats important is what happens outwith this.

It’s an excellent move for us, a fantastic young keeper who can go out on loan and get experience. Ali, one of my favourite ever Liverpool players, won’t be here forever and only Mamardashvili and Costa are the keepers we could realistically replace him with when he does leave.

Fantastic move, doesn’t negate the fact we’ve been utterly woeful in this window though.
