Bruno Fernandes

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c0mnwx3ne0yo

Extends his time at United till 2027 with an option for a further year.

79 goals and a further 67 assists in 234 appearances.

Say what you want about him but that is pretty much a contribution toward a goal every 1.5 games for an attacking midfielder. Phenomenal.

He's a player that fine loves a moan on the pitch but doesn't moan off it for all the rubbish we've put up with for years now. He's a genuine positive character in the team and is genuinely performing consistently.

He gets on with it and whenever the day comes that he leaves us I know I'll be gutted for his departure. He's been our best signing since probably 2014 IMO.

Not always perfect but you know he's dependable, always available to play, will always make a goal happen. He can do remarkable things on the pitch, and on the odd occasion annoy us United fans when he has a bad game (and it's only because we all know how good he can be!)

If he was at say a Man City or Liverpool or Barca and winning trophies I'd have no doubt he'd have been in contention for a Balon Do'r by now in one of his recent previous seasons.

Glad to hear he's with us for a few more years

He sort of redeemed himself at the end of last season but he needs to improve massively on his general form last season.

I think that feeling stems from the fact we all know how good he is / can be. When he has a quiet game or makes mistakes or moans at the ref all game we're left feeling frustrated at him because we all know what he can do.

With the lesser players we don't get annoyed at them for f**cking up, we just moan at the manager for playing said cr4p player.

With Bruno it's different, we get annoyed at him instead of anyone else because we know how good he can be
For years he's played amongst a lot of rubbish but a few bright stars.

Hopefully we have a positive future with him at the heart of things

I agree to a point but for about 3 quarters of last season he was mainly making mistakes and moaning.

He started to look like the Bruno we 1st signed towards the end of the season and hopefully it can continue.

Good news. Main beef with him is his cheating and play acting, it’s embarrassing. But can live with it if he delivers

Yeah the mistakes (not with the more difficult passes, they’re forgivable) but he makes too many unforced errors. If he gets that down to a real rarity, he’ll be a very very highly respected player in world football. That or playing for Real 😦

Having a stronger squad (perhaps seeing Zirkzee and Hojlund playing as a front two?) and/or Mount playing should see us being able to give him a rest from time to time too hopefully. I know he loves playing but it'd be great if we could manage his minutes.

Agree. While he creates a lot he still seems to mess up lots of opportunities to create chances.

The best (in terms of team contribution) player at the club. Which is not in itself an issue, as somebody has to be. The bigger issue is that he is by FAR the best player at club and has been for FAR too long.

Apart from a few, like Garnacho and Mount, he's been surrounded by dogs for most of that time.

Age is also going to be a factor.

Our best player by a distance, good news.

Watching him over the past few years on many occasions, I found myself feeling sorry for Bruno.

He deserves better players around him than what the club have shambolicly assembled and can’t help but feel he would have won a lot more at other better run clubs.

Top player.

Without a doubt our best signing since Fergie left. I love his passion for the club and he's always making chances for the team. Just a shame we don't have a deadly number 9 or they'd end up with 25 PL goals a season.
