Deja Vu

Another trainwreck of a week in the life of Leeds supporters. Six goals conceded in two games and our club has become a wrecking yard, dismantling the squad and selling off the assets.
Whilel Boro, the Owls, the Blades, and the Baggies are off to a tidy start, we are already lagging behind in the stalls.
Gretar Steinsson and his team have done a fine job. Every sale seems to have happened with the minimum of effort and fanfare. The 49'ers must be delighted with the money they have brought in. I wish they were half as effective in buying players.
We have money to spend, there is no doubt of that now, but when you hear that our player sales are greater than the total of player sales for the rest of this division, you realise something is badly wrong.
We have two weeks to prove we mean business in this league. We need to bring in proper, proven winners, top to bottom, from goalkeeper to striker. We need to do it with the same quiet efficiency with which we ripped out the soul of our club. Wilder has turned a pig's ear into a bulldog in a fortnight. Surely we can do better.
Is it time for Farke to go? With two wins in eleven and a couple of tricky fixtures coming up, I am sure Parag has Moyes number on speed-dial.
Yes, it's a trainwreck, but we have survived Ridsdale, Bates, GFH, and Cellino and we didn't have 100 million + in the kitty. And remember, we still have 45 games until the fat lady sings.

Trainwreck indeed. Well put.

Moyes is an interesting one but wouldn’t be cheap.

Like to hear from that financial guru bloke again.

Of the cash in the bank that we've allegedly got from the fire sale, I wonder how much we are allowed to invest back into the squad.

After the sale of Summerville, it sounded like we still couldn't go out and pump loads of cash into massive purchases.

Has the picture now changed?

It’s in the link from this time last season but here you go:

“Twenty years ago, we created the blueprint for dropping through the divisions and guess what? We're at it again. In fact, let's not bother with selling our players this time, let's send them out on loan. And let's create a huge amortisation of debt to swallow up our parachute payments forever, and to prevent us meeting the requirements for P&S in the Championship. And here's the fun bit, Farke now admits we need new players in pretty much every position!
This time last year, we were about to beat Chelsea 3-0 at home in the Premier League. Can someone tell me if that actually happened, or was it just a dream?
Two games into the Championship this season, and I would be delighted to see us in the top half of the table by the New Year. Is that being overly optimistic? Cheers to another sixteen years...”

I think this post is more upbeat than last year’s piece. Only just, though. Thanks for bringing it back up, Stoopo..
