I should add the phrase “as it stands now”. We don’t know what Bruno will produce n the next few years.

He will illicit plenty of FFS’s from me for sure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Certainly with the way the played tonight. Wrong decision after poor execution after wrong decision after poor execution.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It is very rare Bruno has an average game. He either produces goals or assists or he is $hite.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
One of those games for Bruno today. He had more attempts on target than the rest of the side put together and played in Rashford twice, the second time with a worldy of a pass.

On another day he scores a brace, and Rashford slots away the one on one and he has an assist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was poor tonight other than one good pass.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was... but he either gets himself in the position to make these errors and tries to pull of things that the rest of Uniteds players couldnt even think about.

On another night he would be your hero. Tonight he apparenty is your villian becuase most of what he tried didnt come off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So now we must praise Rashford for making “good errors”. Can’t believe it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good grief, We are one game in.

Rashford looked an lot more involved and interested to be busy tonight. The summer alone must have been good for him.

It wasnt great tonight but I could see from where I watched the game that things were different from last season and new things looked like happening. Akso we didnt get peperred with goal attempts from Fulham for a change. In fact I think we might have had even more attempts at goals from them. Thats massive.

We move on to the next game together.

I agree there are many encouraging signs, but Rashford isn’t one of them. On the contrary, the fact that he is still undroppable is a bad sign. It means that either Garnacho or Amad will be sacrificed to accommodate him.

The OP is setting the standards of ludicrously at an almost impossibly high level quite early this season

Ronaldo is, easily, the greatest example of a complete forward playing footballer the world has ever seen.

And during the early part of his career he just happened to be arrive at Old Trafford, playing an extremely important part in maintaining the success of one of the greatest sports clubs in the world surrounded by some excellent and competent team mates.

During that period of his career, he was actually only the second most valuable player at the club (valuable in terms of contribution to the team & club's success) behind Rooney. Those two players careers went in different directions when Ronaldo left to fulfil his longer ascent to the top. But that's another subject.

Whereas, Fernandes, by contrast arrived at a club that was at the heights of being in the pits of (relative) mediocrity. In the time he's been there he has been just about the ONLY consistent quality forward at the club (the only other decent forward players being bizarrely moved on, whilst equally bizarrely the incompetent ones being kept).

Legacies me @rse ...

Sickening how wasteful we were at times

A confident Marcus buries that rather squaring it. Confidence at an all time low.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Titally disagree.

I think that hes been told this summer that sometimes its better to pass the ball square to somebody who has a tap in chance in than to ignore to try and shoot past an oncomming GK. Rash woukd have def had a shot at goal past the keeper in that same position last season. But its Brailsford a his marginal gains that made Rash pass for the certain goal. But Nacho totally messed it up. You dont like Rashford do you Vengeance?

I'm not sure if this is a wum, but it does seems a crazy question. Can't stand Ronaldo's personality, but as a player, I mean we were lucky to have one of the best players ever playing for us - of course I mean first time round.

That doesn't make Bruno a bad player - it's hard to look good in a squad that has struggled like ours since post SAF times and isn't challenging at the very top etc. He's been by far our best player post SAF and sure, he has had his issues, but I have always felt he has always been an easy scapegoat for where things go wrong etc.
Having the captaincy has not helped him, but there are few other options who have remained fit and a constant in the team.

Garnacho should have still done better but it was a poor pass.

Worst Comparison Ever.

Bruno wouldn't probably even get onto the bench in Ronaldo's prime Utd years. That side was stacked.

Yeah, you’d class that as a tap-in.
