"Patrick Bamford is a notable absentee from
Leeds United's matchday squad against
Sheffield Wednesday. The striker is not involved
due to a hamstring injury suffered in training
this week."
Snapped in training. In the first few weeks of
a brutal Championship season. Can the 49ers
buy him out? Ship him out? Find a retirement
home somewhere other than at LUFC?
We need a reliable/fit/goal scorer to back up
Mateo.
Bamford

Is Ayling coming back one day - is he still a Leeds player, or have Boro bought him ?

Thing is, even though PB is virtually a busted flush, to buy him off would cost the club about £5 million, so as I don't think he's a bad influence and seems fairly popular amongst his team mates, I'd keep him on as a player/coach who could be very useful in his advice to
Joseph at least and the few games PB is fit and
available for, if there is a spare spot on the bench he can
have that.
I'm sure PB is getting to the point in his career where he is considering coaching/management and as he is fairly
articulate and speaks a good game, that's what I'd do with him.

Sounds like a sensible plan 👍

Said it a millions times on here.
Buyers market for a 31-year old striker whos been injury prone for 2-3 seasons and earning 35k a week (champ) 70k a week (prem) is absolutely tiny.
Why would we spend circa £3m to pay his contract off?

I think he will have a career in punditry. He’s articulate and knows football. He’s also good in front of the camera.
Maybe it’s time to have a close look at his health insurance policy? Retire him on health grounds.
I’ve always liked him but even I’m seeing that he’s now approaching the end.
Hope he proves us all wrong though.

His podcast is actually really good and is fun to listen to. He is very good about explaining points and concepts of being a footballer.
When you look at some of the complete knuckle draggers they have as pundits these days he will be a great pundit.

Seems Farke is very happy with Paddy and wants him fit. Evidently he’s a great help to the younger players - especially Joseph.

he was asked for a tip one episode and he said to shoot aiming for between players legs....seems completely illogical at first but makes sense as defenders normally stretch for a block.
Once I heard this I then noticed it all the time, he's bang on, its what strikers are doing, really good podcast....except for the other bloke.
