Genuinely the best horror movie I’ve seen in ages. It currently has 98% on RT. Think it comes out in the UK next month but yeah, simply amazing and a very very original and fresh idea for horror in the 21st century. And weirdly it was shot by Giovanni Ribisi who’s moved into cinematography. Looks incredible.
What other great movies have you all seen this year? I also recommend Longlegs and the First Omen which was surprisingly good.

When Evil Lurks is a good one

Thought Longlegs was such a nothing movie, far too many films recently relying on having Nicolas Cage play a weirdo.
Haven’t seen many new good films this year, best ones were probably Evil Does Not Exist, Poor Things, All of us Strangers, Furiosa and was pleasantly surprised with Immaculate. Was really disappointed with Kinds of Kindness.

All of us strangers was superb. Left the cinema really overwhelmed. Never wanna listen to the Power of Love again as I just wanna keep it associated with the beautiful use of it in the film

First Omen was good matching the atmosphere and suspense of the original until the final scenes and ending which clearly sets the ground work for another sequel

Really didn’t like the new Omen. Immaculate did it far better.

The Reggie Perrin remake from 2009 is absolutely horrific.
