Lee Carsleys England Squad...

Republic of Ireland international Lee Carsley will announce his England squad for the Nations League game against Republic of Ireland tomorrow. The caretaker also has Finland in the international break.

He is unlikely to make that many changes, but he could bring in a few of his u21 squad. Who are the most likely?

Kobbie Mainoo never actually made an u21 appearance, but Cole Palmer was a key player for Carsley. He will hope that relationship will push him into a starting role and both will be included alongside Adam Wharton, who had a watching brief from the bench at the Euros.

Rico Lewis already has one cap, and many thought he could be a solution to the problematic left back role in the Euros. He didn't make that, but surely he will be called up after a good start and Shaw once again being injured. With Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier not playing yet, Tino Livramento will be another u21 full back hoping for the call. He has played left back in his short career, although more often found at right back.

Morgan Rogers caught the eye at Middlesbrough, and seamlessly continued his good form at Villa after his January move. He has started this season impressively, and will hope his 2 goals in 2 caps for Carsley will help him in.

Jarell Quansah didn't have the best start to the season, but after being close to the Euro squad may see a place in the squad available. Maguire should be back, but Dunk is one player Quansah may feel is under threat, while his club-mate Joe Gomez has yet to feature so is likely to be under the threat of being left out.
Levi Colwill is another defender who must be in the thoughts - with the added bonus he has played full back.

Noni Madueke is on a high after a hat-trick on Sunday, and with 20 u21 caps he is well known to Carsley. Obviously the wide areas is an area England are stacked, but he offers something a bit different to the others.

Gareth Southgate in the large overlooked players abroad, but Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is another winger Carsley used a lot in recent u21 games. Like Madueke he had a goal-laden start to the season, scoring twice for Dortmund in their weekend opener.

There will be other players around who will be hoping new manager new chance, such as Marcus Rashford, James Maddison, Harvey Elliott, Dan Burn, Max Kilman and maybe even Ben White will be open to a call up.

Could Carsley spring a few surprises, or will it be largely the same squad as Southgate? You will find out about 2pm tomorrow I believe.

Angel Gomes hasn't played since his injury. Carsley must really like him.

Wow, wasn’t expecting that many changes. I know he really liked Gnomes recently, but surprised to see him get a senior call up.

Same reason he's looked at Pickford vs spurs and named him in the squad, generally play better for England.

and thats why we will win fack all again, cause they see a player do alright or "better" for england which still isnt good enough. All whilst not even playing for their clubs sometimes or playing sheit.
