Can't help but feel disappointed and frustrated with our business this window. Let's have look at our business
Ins
Calafiori - £42 million (Good signing)
Merino - £32 million (average/underwhelming)
Selford - £1 million (one for the future)
Sterling - Loan (an upgrade on Nelson for Saka backup)
Neto - Loan (disappointing)
£75 million spent
Outs:
Smith-Rowe - £34 million
Nkiteah - £25 million
Ramsdale - £18 million
Nelson - Loan
Vieira - Loan
Lokonga - Loan
Tavares - Loan
Elneny- free
Cedric - free
Okonkwo - free
£77 million incoming
Overall - £2 million profit
Appears that the money spent on declan rice took up this seasons budget too.
Overall, a disappointing window and slightly underwhelming.
No excuses for not bringing in a quality winger / striker.
LW and CF positions need upgrading, hopefully these can be addressed in January given the lack of funds spent this summer.
Underwhelming window

Yes looks like he has signed for us. Not sure if it's loan or perm deal ! Hope it's a loan. Wish him best ! Hope he brings some spark in our attacking plans.

You improved your defense, midfield and attack. How is that underwhelming?

Don't know enough about Calafiori or Merino so reserving judgement.
Always thought Sterling was bang average (even the way he strikes a ball, it's almost always a scuff), wages are insane too, so if he does come he'll probably be amazing

We're paying half his wages

Apparently just £100K and no loan fee, chelsea pay £225K of his wages

Guess worth the gamble if true but there must be a reason Chelsea are that desperate to offload. And it can't just be money if they're still paying over 2 thirds of it.

Hoping Merino turns out like Havertz and ends up being better than he looks, but otherwise I think it was a good window.

Hopefully Arteta can get the best out of Sterling

Think it's been a good window.
CB areas been improved
CM been improved.
Attack has also been improved.
Sterling is a top player still who creates loads of chances. I'd rather have him coming in then Eddie for Nelson.
