Spurs active in the few hours left

of the window?

In what is perhaps the strangest deal of the entire summer, Tottenham have agreed terms to have first choice on signing Real Betis midfielder Cardoso.

This deal has surfaced as Tottenham have held talks with Real Betis over the potential sale of Giovani Lo Celso.

According to Alasdair Gold, Tottenham are remaining tight lipped on the matter when it comes to their reported interest in Cardoso.

‘Tottenham have remained silent about any such agreement and if it comes out officially in the public domain it is likely to come from the Betis side,’ Gold said on football.london.

‘It’s a strange deal for a Premier League team but is one that’s more commonplace on the continent and other parts of the world, and it’s a way of Spurs essentially getting a better deal for Lo Celso, but down the line.’

I thought Bergvall had looked promising considering he has literally just joined and is still very young. A strange player to have picked on IMO.

If any of our signings have underwhelmed, it's Werner.

Yeah I think the two things we could have done that didn’t is bring a left sided defender and sign a good winger/attacking midfielder permanently instead of loaning Werner again for a season

Odebert?

Werner on loan again was a joke though

Bergvall looks very promising albeit raw …Teds out of touch

To tell you how short we are.....

On the grapevine if VDV fails a fitness test sunday we line up with two goalkeepers on the bench.

That alone should be enough to sack Ange and Lange.

posted on 31/8/24

Not sure that’s Ange’s fault ?

I can’t imagine he got what he wanted

He is under pressure though especially if he doesn’t start mixing up tactics a bit depending on opposition and or how a game is going

A hate to say it but another thumping at Newcastle will really start setting in some doubt for me anyway

posted on 31/8/24

Why is VDV a doubt for tomorrow ffs?

Also, when Werner was signed that should have told us everything about our ambition this season. Him & Johnson is just too much

posted on 31/8/24

Johnson is a good squad option off the bench ….we just overpaid ….he will be useful against tired legs ….just not a starter

Werner was mental ….rather donley or Moore given a chance from the bench instead

POK said VDV is expected to be fit for Sunday

even if we assume he's not

Vicario
Porro Romero Dragusin Udogie
Sarr Biss Maddison
Deki Son Odobert

Forster, Spence, Davies, Gray, Bentancur, Bergvall, Johnson, Werner, Moore

wouldn't need two keepers on the bench

the obsession some posters have with just telling lies and creating reasons to get angry about, when mind you I'd be the first to point out there's plenty of valid things to take issue with, blows my mind

When you look at this, it makes you wonder how on earth this can be considered good preparation for a season in Europe. We need numbers to fight on four fronts.

Agree with you Billy. Levy out!!!!

Only 3 of those played any significant minutes last season and all have been replaced on the squad.

You also forgot bergvall who has come into the squad this summer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From what I;ve seen of Bergvall he needs a season in the Championship.
He's a waste of space ATM.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He's been subbed on in the 78th and 79th minute and from that you have made your genius judgement...just ignore that our our staff watch him every day in training...Ted has spoken.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, and so has Vicario!
Have you forgotten the right rollicking Vicario gave Bergvall in the Leicester game?
The silly Buggaah almost lost us the game.

Not a lie though pal. I knew VDV was out it was not exactly a secret i was at the under 21 game Friday night at Southampton everyone to a person knew there.

Devine is still going out on loan deal in play for Saudi tomorrow. Stunned to see him on the bench instead of Austin.
