Bolton Wanderers v Exeter City

It's community day at the toughsheet and another 20000 plus crowd expected. Exeter City are todays opponents and will be looking to avenge the 7-0 defeat last season. Been a slow start for Bolton with 4 points from 3 games and will be looking for a home win before the international break. The transfer window has been a moderate success with some better players coming in and some fringe players leaving and most importantly our best players still at the club. Team news. The summer dealings leaves a first team squad of 24 including 3 goalkeepers. The problem is the injuries. What we know. Mendes Gomes is 7/8 weeks away, Lolos 4 weeks, Forrester around 3 months, Jones, Williams until after the international break. Adeboyejo missed midweek and Arfield went off injured . No updates on those. Likely starting 11. Baxter. Toal Santos Johnston. Dacres-cogley Sheehan Thomason Schon. Collins Charles McAtee. May struggle to fill the bench today so Matheson and Sharples could be named. I think Forino, Osei-Tutu, Matete and Dempsey unlucky if left out but will get more minutes on Tuesday.Kick off 3pm.

Clowns like Pasty have ruined this one time good forum, last word etc. Alongside Benny, we have lost great posters like Mt, Cef, Large Hat, due to this top hat who thinks it's twitter

The thing is about forums and free speach, is that you can voice your views, just like you have, No one stops you but to complain about one poster destroying a forum is pathetic.

You don't know why posters have left the forum and I can tell you that other football forums have suffered the same fate.

Personally, I wish that all the posters who have deserted the forum hadn't but it's freedom of choice and speech and I do not subscribe to stopping eithjer. Just accept it and keep posting if you want to, you have the choice.

Well this took a turn.

Ironically from a returning poster.

In terms of tactics.

The new 3-4-3 has its disadvantages for what we have in midfield. Essentially Sheehan is a deep lying midfield player who dictates the tempo. In this system it won't work we need two box to box types with the one of the two wingbacks tucking inside to give us the extra man in the middle.

Width wise the two behind the striker will provide the width. Who it is depends on which wingback has gone inside. What I saw yesterday was none of the players really going wide thus nullifying our threat due to a congested middle.

With the 3-5-2 our wingbacks are the wide threat and Sheehan can get on the ball and he now has 2 midfield options in range of him to progress further forward. In an ideal world one of the strikers goes wider or slightly deeper to create the room for the other.

Changing the system isn't such a bad idea in principle but the personnel in it needs a rethink.

Ghost, nunsmoses post about once every nine to twelve months, and for some spurious reason he always resorts to having a pop at Pasty. No one exept nunsmoses knows why he has singled Pasty out from other posters and I doubt that he will give us a tangible reason.

However, everyone is entitled to post what they want to as long as it is not hateful, although nunmoses seems to be bordefing on the edge. Perhaps he should explain why he is so set against Pasty, as I doubt any regular poster on this forum understands why he feels the way he does.

You seem to have worked out our problems and a way to fix them. If Evatt fails to get things right get your CV ready and a full analysis of what is wrong and how to fix. Then send it toSharon @ Bolton Wanderers Football Club.

You seem to have a good analytical mind

Due to the unique way virgin media are doing the skysports red button for me. I will be finding out if I can watch tonight's game about 7pm when they show the streams they have available.

There's a possibility that it does me a favour and leaves it off like it has in the league Cup.
