Time to Focus on the squad- 31 players

The squad currently stands at 24 senior players + 7 - 21's under. From this combined poole, the 25 man squad will be registered.

Considering that squad was between 45- 50 players late July it can be said, that from a squad size , restructuring & FFP perspective the club have had a good window.

The club have managed to continue to shuffle the player poole, adding some quality, particularly Netto, felix , & hopefully Sancho.

But problems still remain, as we do not have a top 4 level G/Keeper, our defence is light in quality particularly at C/B position. We still have not managed to bring in a quality 20 goal a season striker.

We seem to have an imbalance in the A/Midfield- Winger areas, but thankfully full of quality, a top 4 level group of players

A/M- Palmer- Nkunku- Felix.

Wingers- Mudryk, Neto, Madueke, Sancho.

Personally Im not comfortable with Sancho, due to his temperament and his inflated wages, but i know he has the ability, so the jury imo is out on him. Plus bringing him in when we still have Mudryk seems counter intuitive, that is not say Mudryk is anywhere near the player Sancho is, but where does Mudryk sit in the picture and what is best for his future development? He may be a busted flush!

Arguably this may be considered the best window the new ownership has had to date, we do have goals in the squad, but the G/Keeping & defensive areas are a concern if we are to challenge at a top 4 level.

Furthermore, the adjustment the players will have to make playing to Maresca's style may take time, let's hope that we dont drop too many unnecessary points down to this transition.

We should have enough to challenge for 5th / 6th place with a bit of luck
